I was managing a music store in the 90's, and I truly thought Dolores was a diamond in the rough with the grunge movement. The wave of that movement was so perceptually huge, but the real talent was so purely identifiable. You don't know what you've got until it is gone, and I will truly miss Dolores.

She was an angelic voice that spoke to so many! Love and miss her much...

She was truly amazing..sadly,we lost some of the best of the 90s grunge movement far too early with the death of Dolores O’Riordan,Layne Staley,Kurt Cobain,Chris Cornell,etc..they will forever be among my favorites in rock music.I grew up in the 90s,these bands were the soundtrack of my life in my middle school and high school years..these fallen legends will forever have a special place in my heart

I love the music, but I can’t stand the label; “grunge.” I graduated from high school in 1992 and started college in August of that year. I hated the label even then. I was, and still am, absolutely positive that back then the “grunge” genre was was given its title by some middle-aged pansy of a guy who was everything that was the opposite of cool. I’ve always called it what I believed to be; still “rock,” but “alternative,” with some “punk-ish-ness.” I don’t even know what’s popular in today’s Top 40, and I don’t care. I get free SIRIUS XM, and it’s practically always on Lithium or '90s on 9. Although, the latter sometimes causes me to hear a snippet of Paula Abdul before I very quickly change the station.

One of the most underrated deaths in music history! She didn’t get enough recognition when she passed as those like MJ, Selena, Whitney to name a few of the greats.

And this is why the Cranberries disbanded on April 2019 after their final album was released because they just cannot go on and continue without Dolores O'Riordan. May she RIP! 😢

I'm in medical school and there is no way on this big blue earth that a 46 year old dies without the cause of death identified by a doctor or a forensic scientist Seems really sketchy to me

They did cite the medical examiner's report. She drowned in a bathtub with a .33% alcohol level. A lot like Whitney Houston, unfortunately. So sad and a huge loss for humanity! 😪😪😥

@Robin's GRYER How stupid are you? The cause of death was not released at that time, the post mortem hadn't even been done yet. What did you want them to do, take a guess at it just for you? Highly doubt you are any type of medical student & if you are then someone should warn patients about your lack of common sense before they're sent to see you. So stupid!🙄
@athenstar104 жыл бұрын
@@aoifed8913😁I'm not a medical student but someone who used to work in a lab and assisted in autopsies . It doesn't take a genius to know the effects of too much alcohol in the body, specially when you're unconscious. Medical exams may take time to be finalized and even more time when you deal with an autopsy, coz it includes legal stuff and consent from the familym etc.

it’s a tragic and shocking news story because i heard that song before didn’t know her name but to see how it was a mysterious death with no possible cause right now at only 46 years old, must have been a heart attack, or stroke or cardiac arrest?

People, you’ll never encapsulate a human’s essence or legacy with your platitudes and sorrows. Just play the music she created and appreciate that electricity that shoots through your skin and soul. That is what she was, an energy source that touched the world and anyone that hears that music it is now part of them, forever. We should all find our genius and share it with the world, selflessly, it is the light, it is what we all are.

"Zombie" was the song that introduced me to the Cranberries and it's really interesting seeing video footage shot in Belfast, Northern Ireland during The Troubles. Though one really scary wall mural shown in the video was one of two members of the Irish Republican Army in full uniform and wearing masks to conceal their identities. These IRA members were carrying guns and had the message "Prepared for peace, ready for war" written on either side.
