Thx alot but why patients with anosmia will describe difficulties with taste, even if taste sensation is intact

My understanding of that deals with the 2 ways we taste ... one way is through chemicals from our food binding to our tastbuds and the other is through chemical from our food moving up to the nasal cavity and binding to olfactory receptors. If one is gone (anosmia) then the brightness of food flavor diminishes.
