that ring on the dampner where the seal runs looks quite deep and could cause a leak it best to put a sleeve on the dampner to stop leaks

most likely the dampener bolt should be torqued to spec at the end, no? great video

Hello, I got a V6 ford tempo... I would like to change the AT dipstick seal. What do I need to do.? Is it just pulling it out and put on the new rubber seal onto dipstick tupe and push tube back to AT unit?

Is that damper installer kit necessary? Why not bring it in place tightening the bolt?
@2carpros4 жыл бұрын
You can pull the threads right out doing that. Then you are really in a heap of trouble. Thanks for watching!

good instructional, however might want to torque the crank bolt.
@2carpros8 жыл бұрын
+soundmanfrommars13 it is difficult to torque the crank bolt because the engine just turns, that's why we used an air impact, but an electric impact will work too.

+2CarPros cant u hold engine front fly wheel
@2carpros8 жыл бұрын
not really, the only other thing you can try is to remove the starter and jam a large screw driver into the flywheel.

@svg098515 жыл бұрын
Is the silicone a bad idea?
@princerd10 Жыл бұрын
Silicone is should not be used on the seal. However, you should put some Black RTV sealant on the keyway groove on the harmonic balancer to prevent leaks.
