This video retroactively makes all your others better, because it proves the "guy just in his garage makin' stuff" vibe is intentional, and not a result of not being able to do fancy editing. You make a concerted effort to just get to the point, even though at any point you could just fill your videos with fluff to chase "The Algorithm". And we appreciate it.

I had no idea who the first (and second? was that a different bit?) ones were, but I got the Niestat (even though I don't watch him) and ToT ones - those were good. Generally as a rule, if it has that stupid "happy happy" whistling music, or the cheesy glockenspiel tunes behind it, that's a hard pass for me. I think my idea of hell would be a place where that kind of music is playing 24/7

What I really like about this channel is that it pushes new barriers to being relatable to the audience of DIY, wood working, renovation, etc.. in that these videos are based around organizing and cleaning what you already have, which is practically the number one step towards our goals for the vast majority of us.

Now to finish the video!

I was wondering about the first references too... The one with the drone shot might be April Wilkerson, has her type of uplifting music
@gorak9000
@gorak9000 Жыл бұрын
@@G3neralStrikeThe one before ToT was Casey Niestat - the time and date, in NYC, and the annoying music gives it away. I have no idea who the fist 2 are - if it has that sing-songy "happy happy" whistling or glockenspiel music, that's a hard pass from me, so I don't know who those are parodies of. The music alone is an assault of my intelligence

Pretty sure the one before ToT was a Casey Niestat parody, but I don't watch him. I have no idea who the ones before that were parodies of, but that music drives me insane, so whoever it is, I would never watch it anyway.

Cut about a 3” square hole in the top of your bench towards the back, then hang a plastic box on runners directly underneath, you then got a pull out trash box and a hole to sweep bench dust and drop crap down into… make a little plug to cover the hole. works a charm

Just an idea for all the power tools with cables. I'm not sure if you guys in the US know what a kettle cord is.. Used on just about every computer here. I cut the tool cable short and attach a male connector to the shortened cable, then you have only lead with a female connector from the plug and you just quick swop the cable to the tool you use now. Saves me a cable mess. and easy to put on a wall without having to battle 10 miles of cable. Just an idea. Works great for me.

They are called IEC plugs. Love em and often convert to em with all my stationary stuff. But with hand tools, it can come undone and be a pain. Hell I'm usually tying my extension cord ends together. Good idea for the right use case!

Seems pretty unstable when taking tools out or knocking the wall. Wouldn't screwing the tiles on prevent them from falling off? Alternatively, you could add some kind of screw/dowel/lever/lock mechanism to the tiles if you want something less permanent.

Cut all the grinder cords down to about 12 IN. long and then they're easy to hang without the tangle. I've never used a grinder when I didn't need an extension cord anyway. At least now the cord ends don't drag in the puddle that always seems to be where I want to grind.

time travel lathe has been done by the master. your not a wood worker any more, just a true craftsman. my shop is about the size of yours; It has been through many iterations. One of the early iterations was wood (fixing my pos house) Then vintage BMX. There was quite a while I thought I needed to be able to wrench on my cars in my garage. That time has long since past. No car will ever be in here again as long as I am here.....up in Wisconsin. Working on cars outside in the winter sucks a** Now full Metal machine shop. 4th lathe. biig ass mill. belt sanders and tig welders at the ready, all with foot pedals. Still in crappy 16x24 garage. Warm all winter though. I spend 6 hrs a day making parts for those that deserve them.....sometimes for money.
