I used to own a DVD copy of this game as a kid but never knew what it was. I remember I never got far. I have a vivid memory of those three trolls roasting Lathan rotisserie style. Fun to finally watch the rest of the game and see all of Lathan's grisly failures.

After trying Thayer's Quest and seeing the rather entertaining deaths I really wanted to see what the sequel had. I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately getting a recording of the deaths took a good bit more effort than expected. Still never found where I put the DVD of this game.

Just a quick notice that this PC game was made by the creators of the classic Don Bluth game "Dragon's Lair". Also, these animations remind me of a 90's saturday morning cartoon. Especially the music.

It's not really explained (and there's a lot of nonsense in these games), but I'm guessing the water was too deep and it let more of them cross to attack (but since they're throwing spears...)

This series has a thing where if the scene isn't fatal Lathan is wounded, and if you play a scene which gives you a wound while wounded you die. Also, Lathan is kind of a pansy and dies to things like magic wheat in the first game.

Joe Frew Well the original sequel was planned to be released in the late 80s but the company got bankrupt so the sequel came out in the mid 90s and redesign Thayer.

Curious, it could be a different version. I believe they remade Thayer's Quest as Kingdoms: The Far Reach, so there may have been something similar with Shadoan? I want to say my DVD copy has the same VA for Lenny.
