In case you do read this, I'm retired and I watch your videos before I go fishing and when I return and I watch them on days I can't go fishing. Not only do I learn a lot but you make these entertaining. My favorite channel by far. Let me know if you ever come to Arkansas and we'll go fishing.

I noticed that on most of your casts, you close the bail with the handle and then pull the line to take the slack out. Here is a little tip that I have used for years and that is I close the bail with my fingers just before the jig hits the water. The extra foot or so of travel that the jig makes before it hits the water takes that extra slack out of the line and practically eliminates the dreaded bird nests that many people have that closes the bail with the handle.

Richard my brother, great video!! I just want to thank you for sharing some of your techniques with us. I went fishing for the first this year and it was good for me. I put into practice what I learned from you. I had never used a loop knot before and I can’t believe how well it fishes. I also used the slide rig with the swivels and it was a killer. Keep the videos coming!! Roll Tide!!

Hey there Gene, I enjoy all of your fishin videos and I learn sum new Everytime I watch them, I'm sort of new to jiggin but your right on being very affective for slab crappies, I use a ugly stick gx2 ultralight rod with a q Ray reel spooled with 6 pound trout magnet sos flurocarbon line, and love using them Bobby Garland jigs but sometimes I don't feel the crappie bite and I think it's the rod im using, any recommendations for the rod I need to jig?

Richard, I need your person opinion/advice. I live in South Carolina, and I've been experimenting with live minnows under a float for Crappie. They seemed to work really good in the rain and colder weather, but I'm ha ing a hexk of a time when it's sunny and hot. I started with jigs, but they don't seem to work too good. Also, I'm bank fishing because I don't have a boat. I love your videos, and I've learned a ton from you, but now I'm stumped. Please help
