Because they are PETA want to be. That's why any outdoor videos from hunting to fishing always gets thumbs down retards. These people think that meat should be bought at the super market. Because they are oblivious to how that meat actually gets there. The only difference is they don't video it. And the outdoors videos or any videos that actually show the "the real world". Gets a dislike from these people with their head in the clouds looking at rainbows while sitting in their safe space bubble.

For micro cranks I've found that removing the trebles and replacing only one with a single size 6 eagle claw true turn lazer sharp crappie hook on the tail with hook point up works well for getting into thick cover with less snags and it's easier when dealing with unhooking the fish. Have not noticed too bad of a sacrifice on the hookup ratio either. Thanks for all your vids Richard, You and Elmo are my kind of dudes!

You're a kind person Tom Kelly. I moved up to Minnesota in 99 and the first thing I did was to buy a 7' and I don't know the specs on the rod cause they all wore off. Best way I could call it is light action. Fairly flimsy just a fantastic crappie stick. I only paid $17 closeout at Wally World I never been able to find another one like it either it's it's a Berkley Rod they don't make it anymore I wish I had two more just like it I'm really turned out to be my favorite fishing rod always fish 6-pound test on it would handle four easily I'm not much on 2lb test cuz I can't see that good anymore. Anyways that was really nice of you to take good care or Richard Gene like that. Tight lines Bruh

Richard, I have friends here on the Chickamauga reservoir that troll with cranks for crappie from time to time, but I don’t care for trolling. I had rather fish with a single pole in hand like you do. Back some 40 years ago when I first began to fish, I did troll crank baits like a swimming Minnow and would catch big crappie on Watts Bar lake. Thank you for your videos. I look for new ones everyday.

After digging those trebles out of that mesh net, I bet you don't forget your net anytime soon. After leaving my net at home a couple of times, I mounted a vertical rod holder on my center console, and that's where it stays all the time.

Really enjoy your videos , really informative but common sense approach you take. As an old-timer , I really appreciate this type of No Nonsense fishing. It's really funny I have been sharpening my crankbaits. I usually use the ones you do for Bluegill , I love bluegill for eating more than any other fish. if you want to try a larger crank I use the rebel, and bomber. Great tip about the net, on one of my trips I forgot mine and as I was teetering on some rocks I lost the biggest bluegill and bass that I have ever caught.. seems it's always the big ones haha keep up the great work and good health to you

Since moving to the coast I fish for speckled trout a lot. They are a lot like crappie in my opinion. They bite really soft most times. They seem to behave a lot alike. It can be tough getting them to bite but once you figure it out it's a lot of fun. I wish there was some freshwater around here that holds crappie.

Love your channel. How about flyfishing for crappie? Use an intermediate sinking line. If you use fluorocarbon you can use heavier line. We use the terms 4x 5x 6x etc not pound test because line varies in pound test. We use the diameter to describe the line. Take that treble hook off and put a single barbless hook on it.
