I've caught some good crappie on the small chatterbait jig.i change the jig tail don't use the one it came with. They have one with a gold blade i pair it with black and chartreuse in stained water.

Great video. Fishing Mission and I use the micro chatter bait. We really like it. Does well for us in cold water for crappie, bass, and bluegill.

i do pretty good with the 1/16oz mini-flash back chatter bait, the 1/8oz thump (vibrate) bit too hard for panfishing in cold water condition, if the bobby-garland work good means the fish don't like any vibration in your condition, but that's just my opinion, feel free to think whatever you want

Man I have to go crappie fishing again. I havent been since I was a teenager going to lake Talquin (spl?) for spring break. To busy hunting and fishing for other stuff, only so many days in the week.

Minimum keeper size in Texas is 10 inches, which is fine. Not much meat on smaller than that.

Another great vid brother. No size limit here in Louisiana. We call them Sac a Lait here with a creel of 100. You need about 100 if you’re keeping under 10” too. We rarely keep anything under 10-11”.

I’ve used those little Zman chatterbaits quite a bit but not a lot of luck for speckled perch with them although they are really good for bream with bigger mouths like goggle eyes, red bellies, and bigger bluegill. You ever fish big creek lake? I’ve always heard that lake held good number and sizes speckled perch.

Just be careful with the fillets when cooking because white trout get really soft when cooking and if you aren't careful they will break up in the grease. My favorite thing to do with them is making gumbo or chowder.
