Trigun is to me the most thematically compelling anime I've ever watched. Its themes of redemption, pacifism, love, idealism vs. harsh reality, pain, and sacrifice stuck with me long after watching it. By no means do I consider it objectively the best anime I've seen, but it raises a lot deeper questions and discussions about life and humankind than most fiction has. That and Vash is a riot.

This makes me really want to grab the crash trilogy. I never owned the games myself but enjoyed playing them when I got the chance. Also, really happy to see someone else who has seen and liked the Wakfu series. Even as one of the kickstarter backers I agree the dub was trash. I watched one episode of the dub and it was almost physically painful. Luckily the blu-rays came with the French voices and English sub's.

Chappy as someone who somehow made it through the dub, I will say it is better than most French dubs I have come across. And that is me being kind, however I give it credit for lip syncing extremely well. And I thank it for introducing me to the Wakfu MMORPG.

For the record I looked up for that scene in Kirby. I watched it in Japanese and English, and there is no difference: Waddle Dee quickly eats the cookie making the same sound effect, so I don't think there is some sort of edition.

So was the version the 4kids version? With different censorship in different countries as well as different dubs there's a chance that there are at least two English versions. Shows like One Piece have a decent version and a terrible version because 4kids. Even LittleKuriboh has pointed out how they changed Tei's line about women's intuition from every other version to say "I have no idea". It's entirely possible that you're correct, but I wanted to fact check your fact check.

Shortly I after I read about how Unity's default "pill-shaped" collision boxes on the player characters makes landing some jumps in this harder than in the originals, I look at this video and see Kirran miss a jump he may have barely gotten otherwise. Crazy.

For tgose that don't know, the developers decided to use the controls of the third game as the base for the controls of all three games. Before anyone complains about this, let as look at the three options they had. 1. They could use the original different controls for all three games. Leave anyone new or have played the games in years, confused at why Crash controls different each game. 2. They could use one control scheme for all three. Makeing certain maps much harder then they originally were, looking at those fucking bridge maps. Also angering a small part of the nostalgic fan angry. 3. Change these levels and make them easier. Angering a much larger part of the original fan base. That is somewhat understandable. So please consider these options before complaining.

Just as a note (As I'm sure someone else has already said this down below) but Xenoverse 2 on Switch was confirmed to not be a "Game of The Year" type game with all the DLC the only added things was that: 1) It will come with the story of the first game (So you could import your time patroller from the first game most likely) without the hub and all that. Just the main story. (Unknown if this includes the DLC story missions.) 2) For the first printing they will include all 87 or 88 characters available from the start excluding any DLC characters as the DLC is not included. And 3) The least important thing was some added controls to make use of the Joy-Con.

I think Kaiser disliking _Sonic Mania_ for playing too similarly to the Genesis-era games is a bit odd when the game was designed specifically as a more proper throwback to that era of the franchise than what _Sonic 4_ ended up beng. Heck, the lead developer, Christian Whitehead, said _Mania_ is supposed to be what a mainline _Sonic_ game on the Sega Saturn would've been like. That said, I can understand how the lack of any significant innovation can be a turn-off to those looking for a new 2D _Sonic_ game, I just think that it's important to note that the game is a celebration of classic-era _Sonic_ in the same way that _Sonic Forces_ (which Kaiser has expressed excitement for) seems to be a celebration of modern-era _Sonic_. As someone who's only played the Genesis-era platformers (thanks to them being much easier to emulate), I'm looking forward to _Mania_.

Tenten is actually a good character. She's probably the main character of Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth. The series wasn't 100% canon to Naruto, but it was canon enough to receive permission to make Hinata's little sister after the timeskip canon. Tenten also comes out and says how stupid Ino and Sakura are as ninja well before fans caught on during the Chunin exam. She points out how ineffective either are as ninja. Combined with her appearance in RLSY, she does appear to be a fourth wall breaking character. She definitely realizes some things don't make sense in her world in either version but can talk to the audience in RLSY. Without filler it's hard to defend her, but with filler and a spin off series, she's pretty good. I'd still say there are better waifus, but she is a better character. Kishimoto just didn't seem to know how to use female characters very well. Even one of her most anime moments is being part of team Guy and learning they were fighting exact clones of themselves a few minutes ago. The team relaxes learning this realizing that they all improve constantly and they're not the same person they just were. So Tenten is so good that she's better than herself. Also anyone from team Guy gets like a 20% boost as best team.

Surprised Zoids got a passing mention. I loved Zoids (before Fuzors). The 3D is still one of the best in anime, because it shaded to match well with the hand drawn stuff unlike most anaimes, is animated like its actually 3D (like what western cartoons do, and doesn't have an intentionally choppy framerate to try and make it look hand drawn. Of course, Fuzors ruined all this and doomed the franchise in the US, but I'll always fondly remember the Chaotic Century/Guardian Force and New Century fondly. Also, when I finally get a PS4, I'm getting this, they did a great job with this remaster. I loved the first three and CTR, I'd love to see a remake of that. I hope this game does well enough to warrant new installments. Watching you guys play shows the gameplay has stood the test of time.

14/10 would play a remastered Crash Team racing. Change nothing about the controls, or characters, just give it a nice new set of paint and I'd throw ALL the money at it. I played that game competitively with my friends and family long after the PS3 had made it into the world.

I don't watch anime for overblown fights, i watch it for character development and plot (usually, though sometimes for weirdness, as in the case of Darker than Black). FMA: Brotherhood is one of my favorites, and while it's a movie and not a series, so is 5 Centimeters per Second.

I like fairy tail, but I couldn't tell you why. it may just be that I love dragons and the idea that a character could be RAISED by one is appealing to me. I do love the anime as fuck "never give up" tone it has, but it's used way too much, even in one piece there are major battles that luffy won by figuring out the weakness of his enemies (using water/blood against crocodile was awesome) but fairy tail is always friendship ftw. Nico Robin is a great waifu, but not necessarily the best. Just Robin's power is awesome. Hands and everything else everywhere. As she technically has the bloom/flower fruit, flowers are hermaphrodites. So saying she can't grow parts of another gender is excluding her power's potential. Just saying for the ladies and guys out there, she can have male genitals as well as well as have them be everywhere. She can make her body parts appear anywhere including on the surface of bodies, so why not inside as well? The fact that she can seem to control their size should also be appealing. She can also make full bodied clones temporarily if you want a full person doing the part. So basically Nico Robin is the one person orgy. I'd contest that there are other powers like telepathy or pheromone control (Spider-Woman) that could be more fun. Nico Robin is definitely a physical improvement to real people.

Also on the One Piece topic. One Piece has been great. From the people who know what's been happening, it's cleared Game of Thrones's Red Wedding as being shockingly dark. Going from a series most fine too cutesy to something that I text my one friend who doesn't mind spoilers and what him get upset based on a basic thing that happens. Also the evil power rangers do exist and are awesome. They finally transformed in the last chapter. Just evil power rangers is something you didn't know you wanted in another universe outside Power Rangers until you get it. Oda is a master at giving the audience things they didn't know they wanted and still delivering what they wanted. There's a reason it's a 20 year series. Minus the fishman arc and Skypeia arc, the series seems to get consistently better. Neither of those arcs is bad, just felt as good as previous arcs. Otherwise it's an upwards rocket.

Blah, all these discussions on Naruto makes me wish I was there to give my own opinion on the best characters. Like, I love Gai for every part he shows up in, but his flash-back during the Madara fight was awful. Ruined the relationship between him and Lee, but no one brought it up. Anyways... There are only three MAJOR issues with the N-Sane trilogy for anyone curious. Some may be a bit nit-picky, but they're still viable aspects I think. -Some levels were simply not made to be this 3D and they weren't modified to accompany that. The controls are also much, /much/ tighter to the point that you have to tap hard to move one block away. This can lead to levels like the fog-bridge levels in the first game to be... Well, much harder than they need to be. Especially when you really want to get on the rope, which is fully intended to be a method of travel on some of those stages. Basically, they shouldn't have followed the past stage's design to the letter, although they have changed a small few. Like moving the red gem in the 2nd game so you can't get it early. -Visually, it's appealing. Like, very appealing. But there's this odd motion blur that can cause serious issues over time because of how fast the game needs you to go, especially if you want to go for time trials. There's also a serious depth perception issue; more often than not, things are way further away than you'd first guess. Following that, they transformed Crash and Coco's shadows to actually represent them, rather than the black circle they originally were. This can make it hard to judge jumps that you only used the shadow for. -Some levels have an invisible force that actively goes against you when you handle a jump, or on certain platforms. Keep a close eye on Crash when you jump over stuff; you'll be able to see on occasion that there's a very obvious slow-down on his body, yet nothing else in the game slows down, meaning it's not a frame-rate issue. This is extremely consistent on the 2nd game during the pathway to the red gem. After sliding on a few ice platforms for awhile, there's a floating platform with a metal block on it and some ice. If you aren't on the metal block, there's a force that pushes you backwards off of it. I have no idea what this is, but it's a massive issue that can easily ruin a playthrough and I expect it to ruin several speed runs; forcing people to say "Nope, back to the originals" for official ones. Unless people do an "All Games" run, or something. So, overall, this game is good. 9/10, would let the same group do a Spyro remake. But I think they needed more testers that know the previous games to give them constructive criticism, or at least point out that massive push back on random platforms. It's visual, too, like in the ... I think the final level? of the first game, there's a platform where you jump towards a bunch of rats after going past some swinging blades. You can /see/ Crash slow down in mid-air while everything else stays the same. It's unnerving. But still a good remake and that's not /just/ nostalgia talking.

Oh, I actually forgot to add that switching to Coco, while amazing, is pointless for speedruns because it always resets you to Crash for any cutscenes or bosses that he originally fought. Which I totally get, but... It wasn't really needed and it's going to make "Coco%" runs nonexistent. Unless she is revealed to be faster overall compared to Crash to make up for the 3-4 seconds lost every time you switch to Crash and back during cutscenes, but y'know.
