So after you've all enjoyed the N. Sane Trilogy, I figured you guys might want to reminisce upon the comparatively mediocre (whoa) "Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex"! Developed by Traveler's Tales and one of the remaining Crash Bandicoot games published by Universal Interactive Studios, "Wrath of Cortex" was originally going to be an open-world game (whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa) before reverting back to the same kind of gameplay as in the retroactively named N. Sane Trilogy, but developed by a team less talented than Naughty Dog or even Vicarious Visions. Gameplay suffers as a result, and it is one of the easiest Crash Bandicoot games to complete 106%. In fact, I haven't even completed the original trilogy, and in Crash 4 I was able to collect all Crystals, Gems and Relics! Whoa....
This video demonstrates the Xbox version of "Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex", which sports better graphics--including the use of fur visual elements on Crash and Coco Bandicoot--improved disc load times, and music tracks that loop properly unlike on the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube renditions.

This was impressive especially final boss! Ive had this on loop basically 24 hours now (10:04 pm NY time August 14th 2023 Monday) in background whilst trying to sleep/ cool off after power outages this kept me more than amply occupied. Thanks for your work, ive watched a few things from you like turok but this one was extra nice because this was one of my favorite games growing up and up until 2011 was the only one i had ever owned aside from Huge Adventure (xs) Hellish ordeal for a 7 year old

damn the xbox version has pretty dynamic range than the ps2 and gamecube version, i recommend playing this on the OG Xbox instead of the 360 because it has widescreen instead of 16:9 ratio(Black Bars)

Fate For Windows You wanna know something funny😄 back then when I played this game I had it for GameCube but, I didn’t have a memory card to save my progress so the only way I could save my progress was to leave my GameCube on overnight but, obviously one of my parents saw my GameCube on while I was asleep so then, as soon as I woke up, I saw that my GameCube was turned off so I had to start all over from level 1

I had an xbox upon release here in E.U. and this was the best looking game at the time aside from Halo. On a Sony CRT it just blew the colors off the screen. Tv's now are substandard in ways.

The Wrath of Cortex had it's flaws, but it was way better than It's About Time. Why was it better than It's About Time? Well, obviously, because The Wrath of Cortex wasn't as gimmicky as It's About Time! And by "Gimmicky", It's About Time has the crappy Quantum Masks, the power-ups from Warped (Except for the double jump power-up) did not make a return in It's About Time, Dingodile, Tawna and Cortex's gameplays suck, It's About Time is a copied, pasted and edited version of Warped with time travel and multi-verses, etc.. It's About Time sucks because it's not as good as The Wrath of Cortex. The Wrath of Cortex deserves a remake. Enough said. Fun facts: The Greatest Hits version of the PS2 version of The Wrath of Cortex had shorter load times.

I know many people may say this is a bad Crash game and I agree. It’s not as good as the original 3 games or It’s About Time, but I can’t really bring myself to call it a bad game due to me having a nostalgic bias towards it. As it’s one of the first games I ever played. With that said, I enjoy Wrath of Cortex on more of a guilty pleasure level. However on a more critical mindset, I find the game at best incredibly average.

I could have, but I don't have an Xbox 360. At least not my own. This is original hardware connected through an HDMI converter, which is then recorded through Elgato Game Capture 60. I guess that's why it looks so dark here -- the black levels must have been converted poorly...although I don't remember it being this dark when I edited this footage....huh. I fell asleep a few minutes after the opening cutscene, and I woke up at the part where Crunch realizes they aren’t under Cortex’s control anymore and flees with Crash and Coco I’m a bit bummed I missed a majority of the walkthrough, but I can always rewatch it later, and it also helps if I want to play this myself, as nothing as from the closing cutscene was spoiled for me

I hope after the CTR Remake, they make a brand new Crash Bandicoot 4. Not Wrath of Cortex but Crash 4. This is what caused the downfall of Crash for me. I also hope that the relics aren't required to complete the game & that there's not a whole lot of vehicle levels.

This was the last Crash game I got into. I played the original when I was really young but never finished it. Crash 2 was the first one I beat. And Crash Warped was probably my favorite as a kid. I liked getting the bazooka. The remake of the original 3 sucks tho. It seems like you have to jump perfectly on everything or you die. The originals were more forgiving.
