Wer mit seinem Privatfahrzeug ein Rennen veranstalten möchte, egal ob auf der Straße oder auf der Rennstrecke, hat eben kein Mitleid verdient. Wenn man meint mit über 100 kW oder noch mehr die Grenzen der Pysik ausloten zu müssen, muss man eben mit den Konsequenzen - und dazu gehört auch der Spott - leben. Wer ein wenig Hirn hat, braucht sich sowas nicht zu beweisen.

I had that car! (2002 model, 2 door hatch) 2.2L engine in very light car. Lotus tuned the suspension for Australia. Good handling. Had it until 2015. it was great, except the timing chain suddenly snapped on the highway. Engine rebuild cost more than the car - became scrap.

Das schreckt mich eben auch ab, die Idioten, die fahren als seien sie die grössten Profi-Rennfahrer und dann fahren sie dir ins Auto ohne dass du was dafür kannst ... :( Dafür hänge ich zu fest an meinem Auto (Mitsubishi Evo IX), aber gleichzeitig wäre eine Rennstrecke schon verlockend, dass man sein Auto mal wirklich ausfahren kann, weil hier in der Schweiz gibst du den Schein schon mit 25 zu viel ab, je nachdem... :(

These tourists aren't just fartin', they're crashin'! It's entertaining to watch an amateur experience a little bit of oversteer (which they don't know how to handle) then turn it into a massive tank-slapper that sends them off the road. The Driver's school I sent my kids to had an honest-to-God skidpad where the students spent a solid afternoon learning how to control a skid. Well worth the money.

Most of the car crashes are from over correcting, there is one, i think a corvette, the one before the 7s that did the correct thing and didn't try to force the car again into the track.
