As someone who grew up with Crash, I feel like this game is missing something. I don't know what it is but I will be playing the beta. Only thing I am worried about is if this game is going to have a good reason to keep coming back to it. The concept is ok, but if it isn't fun then I sadly don't expect this game to last long. It's a new concept. It's innovative. I don't know how long it will last, but it is PVP and cross-platform. So hopefully it lasts a while. Why trash a game if you don't even know how it plays or how fun it may or may not be? The developers seem to enjoy Crash and Spyro. It's Toys for Bob. They have a great track record for their games. Let's give it a chance. Being a new concept, it may flop. But that's the risk you take by being innovative. That's why we keep getting shit that's all the same. We need new, fresh ideas!

It looks like it's going to flop, I'm getting disappointed in how the franchise had everything to work out again, but people with money to develop a game ruin it with just a touch. Many fans want remakes of Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity, new games, CTR Nitro-Fueled for PC, and what is the answer for us Crash fans? Crash Team Rumble which was supposed to be the multiplayer mode of Crash 4 will be paid full price for a new game, and it's not even coming out for PC. Congratulations Activision, if the franchise dies once again, it will be your fault. That's what I want most of all. But I think we're getting it. There are plenty of signs it's coming, but I think it's much harder to design worlds for an open-world game like Spyro. It was probably much easier to create a linear experience like Crash. And then with COVID, I think development on Spyro 4 got stunted. But I do think we'll see it in 2024 based on clues. Why do I get the feeling this game is gonna feel very boring and stale quickly? The trailer makes it look like you are doing the same type of thing over and over and over again in a relatively small open area with the only exception being the red touch pads. It is like they have taken the battle mode from Crash Team Racing and also know that a lot of people want Crash Bash to be remade and thought "I know, why don't we do something that combines the both of them together!" and most people are just thinking "Ughhh, why don't you just remake Crash Bash instead!?"

This game needs P2P servers. This looks like another live service, no single-player, no local multiplayer, just online multiplayer, if servers are closed, the game no longer exists. Many live services are now dead, and this may be another one for the graveyard, even if this game is good and achieves success at launch, players don't have infinite time, they want other games, relying on players constantly playing and buying stuff in the game is a terrible business model, the service bubble already has burst.

I absolutely loved Crash 4, and I adore what T4B have done with it, the gameplay, the style, the amount of content. They have made it my favorite Crash game of all time, and I am eternally grateful to T4B for the incredible work and love they gave it. I'm not trying to be negative in this comment, just honest, this game looks HEAVILY unfinished to me. Any gameplay trailer or in-game footage I see for this one just yells "early prototype build, but we have a playable demo for the first gamemode". I can only go off of what I've seen from published footage, and I think I finally understand what the game is about, but even this one gamemode I've seen feels.. lackluster. It is definitely an interesting direction and concept, and I love the idea of what COULD be done with it, but it feels like this game would need 2-3 more years to really nail down. I'm sure the environments, music, voices and gameplay isn't final, but at the same time I don't think it will change all that much until release, at least that is my experience with "they'll surely polish that by release" on other games I've followed. I wanted to be excited for this game, but the feeling it gave me from minute 1 to this day is that this is an attempt to quickly push the Crash franchise into a live service income source while the Crash 4 hype still lasts. I want to be wrong, I REALLY want to be wrong but so far I have no reason to believe that I am. Pair console-exclusivity with a type of game that NEEDS the most amount of players possible pooled together for matchmaking, cut out the entire PC playerbase, and sadly I do not see this game lasting any amount of time. I really wish I'll end up being wrong, because bringing the feeling of playing modern Crash into a multiplayer experience and finally being able to play with friends sounds wonderful. I'm just concerned that this title, in it's unfinished and quickly thrown together form, will (obviously) not land well, and the conclusion the publishers will get is "well, guess people don't like Crash anymore, time to drop the franchise" instead of "we should have let the developers make a great game". I see this an awful lot in the industry the past decade. I rarely ever comment, but I really wanted to say a few things on this, with Crash being so close to my heart. Thank you to anyone who read through it, it really means a lot to me :)
