Oxidation-reduction reactions are going on around us, and inside us, all the time, and we can make redox reactions in organic chemistry easier to understand by tracking carbon-oxygen bonds. Requisite "I am not a chemist" disclaimer, but as I understand it, regioselectivity deals with the reactants (what part of the reactant molecule is involved), whereas stereoselectivity is about the products (what stereoisomers are produced).
