Very few times they're actually destroying art though.... Pretty much every time it's either protected by plexiglass and they are aware that it's protected by plexiglass. Or it's easily removable because it's just starch....

exactly what i think everytime i see someone try that. like yes its getting peoples attention on your movement. but it then makes people hate them

I regret that I can only give this video a single thumbs up. The great bit about "sometimes they destroy it, and that can have just as much of an impact" made me think of the parallel of purposefully temporary art -- such as Buddhist sand paintings or some pieces at Burning Man -- where the transitory nature heightens our connections and the work's connotations.
