So I knew as soon as I got the plane to me it was going to fall and I was afraid that I would run out of power and really lose the plane if I did not put it on the ground. The plane was not hurt bad at all and I have already got it fixed back up and ready to go again. It happens for sure. Totally my fault on this one.

Right on for posting it though. Shouldn't have listened to the cameraman's advice to put the elevator in low rates. I've learned to ignore 99% of the unsolicited advice that gets shouted from behind the flight line.

Awesome paint job.

The problem really started when you came in way too high, which made you trying to land at idle thrust. With this model, that never leads to good landings. I use a landing technique that takes a bit of practice, but it always leas to buttersoft landings. I fly a standard landing pattern, and when turning final, I bring the throttle to idle. I then raise the nose to bleed some speed, and bring throttle back in to control the rate of descent. When I'm at the runway threshold, I usually have around 25% throttle, nose up, and I then reduce the throttle to control the touchdown. The 25% throttle in short final really makes the difference.

Better than expected on that. 👍🏻 It’s all good! 💯

Yeah I thought it would be worse but little work and its back to 100%

Nice paint scheme, I recently went 8s and enjoy the Raptor 90 so much more since, shame to see such a beautiful bird downed

Looks to me like you simply got too slow, too high. Try a longer final approach, and do not reduce the throttle to zero unless you’re below 6” of altitude… 🤷♂️

You might want to try turning down the gains on roll. I was noticing osculation. Just what I saw. Good save though.

That is what I call a slow plop. You need landing speed.

Good thing it is a tough bird

I fly 9k packs in mine. Battery lands cool and get about 5 mins with a little gliding sometimes the opposite direction. Still fast flights tho. I put in stock configuration back far as it will go. You can feel the weight slightly, but for sure isn't a deal breaker. Glad you got it back. I started with 6k packs. Got me about 330 to 4 mins. Battery landed hot. And those were 100c packs. All zeee packs.

Zeee overrates their capacity and C rates by a lot. Very heavy low quality batteries. You get what you pay for. SMC or GensAce are better. Even Spektrum is better

@polyscient yes I have others. Just however I don't much of a gain spending 20 to 50 bucks more for a battery and still get the same flight times and almost basically the same flight performance. I have the same batteries. And I personally do t see that big of a difference for the price.

China glue?? WTF? ⚠🛑
@polyscient9 күн бұрын
Maybe it's the FoamTac like unmarked white tube of glue the raptor 90 comes with.

That landing would have been fine if given some throttle.
