Honestly, the more I see of Ukraine, the more it looks just like the place I grew up... New Hampshire. Without bothering to look at a map, I wouldn't be at all surprised if NH and Ukraine both were near similar latitudes.

I'd say NH is very similar to northern and central Ukraine. South of Ukraine is a bit different. And Crimea is whole different story

Love the content Johnny. New Zealand use to be like this. People having genuine innocent fun. Now everything is so regulated that they have for a long time now considered beaches that we drive on as public roads. So you can only drive 50 kmh speed limit. So the underground road races take place where others are in danger.

This is probably the best video you have ever made. Having fun with friends, going new places, trying new things, meeting new people, and all while in nature.. That's the content myself and many others would love to see more of, please. By the way, you should of jumped off that cliff.. Sure, it looks scary, but it would of been an amazing adrenaline rush that would of made you feel so much joy. Buy a paddle board, you will have a lot of fun with it, in such places. Decathlon might sell them there, along with inflatable kayaks. You could keep them in the boot of your car for when you need them. It seemed like a nice, fun day out for all of you. Nice to see the couple getting married, one more in the eye for Putin. More so, since the Russian destruction of the dam and the enormous flooding it has caused. Having a reliable means of flotation, in their home, that they could quickly inflate, might have saved some people and their pets from being drowned in the flood waters. Like others, I have seen on the news, pictures of people's houses being carried along in the flood water and can only feel sorrow for everything Putin is putting the Ukrainian people through. I hope the day will come very soon, when Putin's hordes are driven from Ukrainian land and he is brought before a court to answer for his war crimes. What a day of rejoicing that will be. Good idea to have a second grill to cook all that meat for a group. Not convenient to transport the round one but you have a car trunk to bring it. Or if the other BBQ guy doesn't come, you have something to use. Fun day.

I went there back in 2020 for my birthday (part of the trip), it was an old stone quarry. We stayed at some very nice wooden chalets on a lake, let me see if I can find the resort.. found it! It's called Charivne Ozero, very cool

Seeing you all swimming reminded me of one of the first Bald and Harald videos I watched; when they went 'floating' down the Dnieper somewhere north of Kyiv (but south of Chernobyl ). It was, I think, the same trip when he and Harald climbed up that old loading crane on a closed dock along the Dnieper. Cannot seem to find the video of them floating on the river anymore, or an even older one, when Harald had first convinced Bald to start vlogging and the two of them had rented a car in Russia and attempted to drive to the Ural mountains. What are you expecting from them to do? So you are located 700-800 kilometers from the frontline. Its been 1.5 years since war started. You are not in the army, you just do your regular job. Read more books about wars based on real stories and watch less war Hollywood movies to better understand what war looks like from different angles.

Many civilians are not in front line fighting, but but they still suffered specially in Kyiv. And they pay taxes and helps to fund the frontline soldiers, kepping the overall economy Rolling. Eg teachers, people in elderly care, it staff in government They need vacation too to continue a long war.
