I wonder if the lack of crash triggers is part of the reason the game has so many glitches. Most games would shut down long before getting as broken as Security Breach, so maybe the absence of the ability to crash just allows for all of the glitches to pile up the way they do.

On the older patch, if you managed to get Freddy into El Chips and attempted to go further in while riding inside of him, the game would deload and leave you stranded, unable to move, in the void. In the newer patch, however, I have consistently been able to crash by preforming these same steps.

In that case all you do is mapbot warp and you're able to call/enter him in the Superstarcade part of El Chips

It kind of reminds me of how sonic 06 is also a infamously broken as hell game, but it is disgustingly hard to get it to tap out. Speedrunners literally found out how to delete a whole boss, and instead of crashing the game stalls for a minute, goes "ah well I guess you killed the boss" and continues on like nothing happened.

I had this super janky computer that would completely crash (as in the computer itself would turn off) on almost any game. It ended up *completely* breaking because of a game that’s super polished, super stable, and pretty much glitchless compared to FNAF: Security Breach.. Wandersong. I would have loved to play SB on that computer just to see what would’ve happened, but I didn’t have SB so I couldn’t even try.

I performed a glitch where I entered Freddy while exiting the day care. That crashed the game so bad I had to restart the PC and redownload Security Breach. And the I had to order a new CPU, because that crash managed to somehow break my CPU. That was an expensive crash, but a great story to tell.

Either the CPU heated up too much and it fried, or it died seperatly lol. Games can't really kill hardware like that unless there's a fault within the hardware itself.

The creator YuB had the game crash on him in his earlier play through videos. I believe it was from him backtracking down a flight of stairs after letting Freddy charge for the first time at 12am. It was in the first release though.

this is actually really easy as long as you have an AMD graphics card not many games actually support their cards well, and this is very apparent in security breach. my entire pc crashed when i got in the vent with freddy (the bit where the meme is from). it also happened when hiding in a box in the music man arcade. it was at the bottom of some stairs on the left. idk how to explain it. but if you just sit there for long enough (at least on the release version idk i didnt take chances on my replay), your whole pc will crash.

Tbf, it was developed in Unreal. I'm by far no expert, but its framework is pretty robust and I imagine it has a lot of ways of handling any errors that occur internally, in an effort to protect (inexperienced) developers from themselves.

But actually I just got reminded of my first crash when I played princess quest 1. I legit didn't play it again in the fear the crash was intentional so I never tried the princess quest ending. This is what happens when you play fnaf you can't trust crashes unless they are lore or not.

I technically got a crash I think? I was in daycare and whenever I stepped on a certain spot the game just freezes completely. I still hear Moon walking around but it just stops. I have to close and reopen the game. It was really annoying because it happened on my first try while I was looking for the last generator. It then happened on the next attempt and I figured out it was that specific spot which is unfortunate because avoiding it cuts off an exit route out of a play structure.

David broke the game so much it apparently went back to its intended state way before they cut half the plot and mechanics, back when time in the game was supposed to progress normally and all that (otherwise I don't know how tf to explain a) natural passage of time and b) night time starting in the backstage office sequence), which is almost as impressive as the fact that with all that the game still somehow didn't really crash

I crashed the game on my first playthrough, didn't even realize it was a rare thing to do. For some reason, during my playthrough when I opened the 1st princess quest arcade machine. My game crashed. This was back in like late January so it was whatever version of the game we were on then. I don't know what caused the crash, I didn't do anything other than try to use the machine. At the time I was annoyed, but now I'm proud that I got such a rare thing to happen (though maybe it was that rare at the time idk)

Stacking Pizzabot overlays does it. If you leave the area, you can reactivate the HUD for the pizza cooking minigame, while already having it stuck on the screen, and it stacks. 5 or so times in, the game stops handling it at all. 14:30 I've seen that happen before elsewhere. It's described by some as 'the hardest softlock you'll ever see'.

Another crash is to have SB or whatever game downloaded and running off of an external hard drive and unplugging it.

what if you fall out of the map and fall until your Y value reaches the negative integer limit so there is an integer underflow, that might crash the game engine maybe. oh I just realized there is a trigger that TP's you back up, maybe it's not in every place tho might also be possible to crash the sound engine by too many queued up freddy sounds
