I had blender before but I got rid of it because I did not understand it but with all the tutorials I have been watching I think your videos are the best and I will get blender back and use your tutorials.

Excellent tut encompassing many things I really enjoy using Blender for so please keep up this theme/style of video. ALSO please never be afraid to point out in detail places where something inexplicable heppened to YOU as you made this. Chances are good that we the tutored ones would have been confused by the same items. Don't shy away from emphasizing how an item was a potential pitfall or point of confusion . For example the asset which appeared to have an odd rotation had an explanation and a solution. SLOW DOWN there while explaining , don't go faster or skip parts of the fixing process in favor of a quick summary if you can afford the time. I know people aim for certain video lengths but I jump back often while watching and control playback speeds constantly. It is extra useful to point out where and why things behaved unpredicatably. One small thing: in the case of the asset's rotation I might argue plants do not respect the perpendicularity as much as gravity. On the inclined sides of the spillway/channel the rotated assets ought to have been oriented as parallel to the vertical axis even while being placed on a sloped geometry (am I wrong about that?) and it would be good to know if there was an option to have made them (constrained?) to appear in an orientation as relative to that vertical. As it is the final look is great and a little off-putting disconcerting in that "something bad happened here" way and you could imagine it was some alien influence or weird mutation that had the hole being formed either by a monstrous power or some other-worldly force which could justify the weird vegetation in the first place. Thanks a bunch for all the very helpful info in the tutorial for newbies to Blender such as myself. It was an easy decision to subscribe.

at 29:37 when I render the image, it only renders the camera background footage and literally every other items (particles, vegetation and crater) are all black like alpha render. Do you have any recommendation to fix this issue? Thanks in advance
@LightArchitect3 жыл бұрын
Hi Levy, There is probably a problem with the collection you have your vegetation and crater on. Make sure its on the foreground collection. Let me know if this solves your issue.

Thank you ! you are the best!! PS: sorry if i post it here, i have written a email to you for the khaos fire shader add on for Blender 2.9x it seems not working ( not the Khaos explosion this is ok!) when i create the cube and assign the khaos fire shader material in Blender 2.92 you don't see the flame / smoke inside or what it is, you see the normal empty cube, i don't know if you need this shader in blender 2.92 or not? let me know please thanks.
@LightArchitect3 жыл бұрын
Hey Pegasus, I will search for your email. It seems that something has changed in the scripting language for 2.9 and the fire shader. However if you open up the material tab and choose from the existing materials you can see that the shader has been added to the scene you just have to select it for your object. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll fix the script soon. Brad

oooo wow you are so good man just one question like sometime i get a error or 1 or less so whatever object i put like a cube or anything else it is shaking or jittering little bit .. not properly sticking to the ground .. any suggestions .. and yes please create fluid simulation with live footage tutorials also
@LightArchitect3 жыл бұрын
Hey Gokul! Thanks for the comment! Sometimes even if you have a low solve error the track is still off. Double check and make sure none of your points are slipping off during the track manually and then maybe "clean your tracks" of points with high pixel errors. Also generally the more points the better as long as long as they are good points. I have a more extensive tutorial on how to 3d track footage better here as well --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXfPpZyng52Fb8k

They use to say the solving error should be under 1 Sam go even lower 🤔🤔
@LightArchitect3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the resolution of your footage and where you plan on screening your project. But you are correct less is better. Ideally 0 ;)
@spydergs073 жыл бұрын
The higher your solve error, the more your 3D objects will shift and jitter during the camera movement. I always aim for under 1 and if I can, under .5.
@parapoliticos52 Жыл бұрын
What if the footage is not by a camera that moves on a straight line but a camera that moves on a circular line. like footage from a a drone that moves all over the place, left and right up and down, but has the interested place in the frame. Can it be done?

I'll never understand why people still use Mac's for VFX work. My ASUS ROG laptop with 64GB of ram, 2070 Super, 2 TB Samsung SSD, and 10th gen i9 runs scenes much larger than this with ease and no slowing down and my laptop was $1950. If you get a Mac with my specs, you would be looking at $3500-4000.
@LightArchitect3 жыл бұрын
Hey Spydergs07, I generally agree with you. Best bang for your buck performance wise is a PC. Depends on your purpose and what operating system you like better though. I switched to mac a few years ago mostly because my colleagues at work at the time were all using them and it made a better workflow. I like it a lot but my next computer I'm going to build with more power as a PC. Thanks for the comment.
