Btw you can use dynamic paint with a vertex group to seperate the part of the building that collides with the ufo instead of actually selecting it manually. Its usually more accurate and less time consuming
@matthewward13462 жыл бұрын
got a tutorial for that?
@kooale32522 жыл бұрын
@@matthewward1346 just add dynamic paint to the object that is to be destroyed. Set the output to a vertex group. Make your collider object into a dynamic paint brush. Bake it until the end of your animation and then apply the dynamic paint on the destroyed object on the last frame. This will bake the vertex group permanently.

Instead of having to explode each chunk manually you can add a ramp/gradient texture on that one chunk in the particle Textures settings. Then just use UVs or coordinates to line it up with the saucer's direction of movement. It'll save loads of time. Don't forget to set your particles to an ABSOLUTELY INSANE number (or use children idk) EDIT: If you want even more control you can put in a blank image texture and draw on it with increasing opacity for each frame (or decreasing opacity, you'll figure it out).
