There was indeed a token exchange for that second train (the class 153) as it came off of the (mostly) single-track Heart of Wales Line. The few trains per day that use that line still need to collect / deliver that physical object from/to the box here to proceed or exit the line, though the main Welsh Marches Line trains aren't signalled with that anymore. Nice video!

Small note: It's the Welsh *Marches* Line. And yet another crossing where the removal of the springy feet is probably damaging the gates.
