If they want to bring Stu back, I feel like it would need to be in a hypothetical Scream 8. Like, it needs to play out the same way Jill did in Scream 4... her whole "you left the town and family behind" thing (and the retcon of her existence would be akin to bringing him back from the dead). Stu would feel the same way, that same level of neglect from Sid 😊

For me for Stu to come back it has to be a really good story otherwise leave him dead sorry. I'm not on or off the Stu Train but I was really disappointed with 6 and wanted Mindy to fall off the ladder not Annika 😂😂

Thanks as always Craven 👍 My thoughts on this:- *Danny - No thanks. Way too obvious,had too many boyfriend is Ghostface,and just a copy of Scream the series from season 1 to 2. Would be way better,if he becomes a bigger RED HERRING in 7.Including playing up the distrust Sam has of him.He makes it to the very end.Looks like he is possibly going to be revealed as a Ghostface,but instead dies a heroic death saving someone like Sam. *Martha - Nope. Totally out of character. Been a "good guy" for way too long. Such a minor character,alot of people won't even remember who she is revealed as a Ghostface.If she suddenly becomes more major in 7,that will then become too obvious if she is revealed as one. *Sam - Now way too obvious. Plus,her character was so much better in 6, there is no point on ruining/changing that.If she was a terrible character like in 5,then yes.But now,I am strongly against this. *Stu - Obviously yes. But,would like him to lead a cult of Ghostface,and NOT the only one to comeback as a Ghostface, also:- Charlie Walker (Shout out to I SHOT HIM 6 TIMES - For his idea of this 🔥 ) - He was being over dramatic that he "got stabbed in the heart". It just missed his heart,but still led to plenty of bleeding.Him being saved by another secret Ghostface cult member.His secret wife: Kirby - Will explain why she was so incompetent as an FBI Agent,having no clue who the Bailey's really were.She did,but helped cover it up on purpose.Detective Bailey turned on her at the end of 6. Hence a Natural Born Killers style couple.Other members of the cult include: Leslie Maucher - Stu's sister. Ethan Bailey - He secretly survives 6,and just like Stu the TV didn't kill him. The character that Parker Posey played in 3 - The secret Ghostface from 3,instead of Angelina 🤯 😎

I think the next Ghostface will be Mr Carpenter. He will target Sam and Christina Carpenter and I suspect Tara will end up killing him in a weird twist saving Sam. No Stu unless Sidney is the main focus and she won’t be in 7. No Danny because not another boyfriend. Not Martha because she seems so nice and I wouldn’t but it.

Love your theory. I dont think Sidney has to be the absolute MAIN focus of the movie, but make sure to have her either in act 1 or beginning of act 2 after the first murders/attack. We can still focus on Tara and Sam, but have it so that Sidney is with them. Similliar to Gale in Scream 6 but maybe more than that or maybe more like the core 4 but instead its Sam, Tara and Sidney. So they have alot of time together, maybe they are in Sidney's house or something talking about the attacks and then ghostface (stu) attacks them so Sidney has more screentime with Tara and Sam. After that we can have a scene or 2 with Sam and Tara or Tara and Chad because they need development especially if Chad has a girlfriend again. And later we shift the focus to Sidney and Gale possibly until they all meetup at the final act with Sam and Tara.

Scream 5 and 6 killers and motives parallel 1 & 2. Scream 1 and 5: boyfriend and friend Scream 2 and 6: parent of boyfriend and friend(s) Scream 7 if follows pattern will be a sibling of Sam and have more backstory of Sam’s Mom similar to Scream 3.

@@serenity4eva89 agreed. It’s mirrored too much to be coincidental. Though scream 2 was originally supposed to be hallie and Derek. Hallie was college roommates with Sidney which STILL mirrors Scream 6’s Quinn being college roommates with Sam and Tara. #coincidence? Side note: with exploring Sam’s dark side, I would love for this to happen in 8 to follow 4. If they set 8 up opposite as Jill framing Sam to appear as the killer but then have it be Tara, it would be great.

Danny saying what he said is very suspicious if it does turn out 3 and 7 are parallel it could mean he is related to her in some way which is gross considering they're technically sating but it could mean something. Also stu was meant to come back as the killer in 3 so if they use that version of the script as the parallel it would explain stu coming back

Sam the next Ghost Face would be awesome and reasonable. The plot build in that direction anyway. There is never in horror films before, the final girl is the main villain. We can bring Sidney back or not, doesn't matter. We can also bring Stu. We can make Stu just like Palpatine to Sam's Anakin Skywalker. It'll be great!

I very much want Stu Macher to return in Scream 7. And if he does return, I hope that we will find out how he has been able to stay in hiding for over twenty-five years. I mean, what has he been doing for work? How has he been getting his food? Has he ever had to go to a doctor? The only plausible scenario is that he changed his appearance and has been living under an alias. Another content creator on here has speculated that Christina Carpenter - the mother of Sam and Tara Carpenter - has been providing Stu with a place to hide in, which may very well end up being the case.

@@CRAVENSomethingScary Yes, in fact, I would be willing to bet that Christina Carpenter hung out with Billy and Stu a great deal, and that she watched scary movies with them. By the way, on a different note, would you like for Scream 7 to take place during the winter time? Many Scream fans - myself included - very much want to see Ghostface in the snow. And the cherry on top would be for Scream 7 to be set not only in the winter, but during the Christmas season as well. I would like to see a Ghostface killing take place outside, in the snow, next to some trees or bushes that are decorated with Christmas lights. For me, Scream 7 will be rather disappointing if, at the very least, it does not show Ghostface in the snow.

Winter sounds cool, but I'd go for any time of the year personally lol. Another thing. If Stu IS the mastermind then after the reveal, he will be most likely related to someone in some way. We all remember Roman revealing to be Sidney's step brother. Sam already related to Billy, and Sidney is related to too many people at this point. Tara or someone else is my bet here, The Carpenter sisters being related to the original ghostfaces sounds cool in my head. But idk how that would work really lol. But I do heavily think the mastermind will be related to someone but idk who.

my scream 7 ending is Stu, Kirby, Mindy as killers, with Sam snapping and turning into a 3rd party ghostface. Sidney returns and in many ways reflects the original, Stu, Sam(Billy's daughter), Mindy (evil Randy), Chad (new Dewey), Tara (new Gale), Gale, and Sidney, both OG survivors. Edit: Danny is revealed as a Roberts (personally i feel they have a lot of similarities)

I think if Stu returns it should hit hard. The opening move scene should be a national event in the Scream universe. Major social media should get hacked by the Stu cult somehow. Have a running countdown clock, that says : For Billy. Then one person gets it in every state, at the exact same time. Each of the 50 should be related to one of the victims from the 6 movies. Also having For Billy written on the wall of all 50 people. Cut to Sydney : receiving some cryptic message, that decodes to saying : I've always had a thing for you Sid. Which was one of Stu's creepiest lines from the first Scream . I'm curious if other people think Stu should return? Matthew Lillard is such a talented actor, I think he could really pull off the whole crazy cult leader. 🤓🤘😎
