Ethan had multiple lines like Stu (whatever he said to Tara that was like “I always had a thing for ya Sid!”) and died like him too (supposedly) Idk, lotta Stu love going on and it’s probably just because they know he’s an important part of the series soul, so they want to explore it and expand on it and honor it Or, all three of them have been interacting with Stu online or in person as well, and are trying to honor their mentor I feel like Stu is the Palpatine to Richies Vader

Dan I respect your opinion but it isn't just the double knife thing if you go watch the scene again the killer attacked Gale was talking to her like he knew her he was saying things to her like we haven't ever talked on the phone before Quinn wouldn't know that and no offence Gales muscular boyfriend got thrown through the window and no offence there is no way Quinn would be able to throw a guy that big through the window.

Something else I haven’t heard mentioned about the Gale attack scene: When Ghostface attacks Gale’s BF while on the phone with her, he seamlessly continues talking to her on the phone without any pause or indication he’s in a struggle trying to take down a grown man. What if Stu was doing the attacking and Quinn was the one on the phone? Maybe a stretch, but that whole part was odd-and we’re supposed to believe Quinn did all that on her own?

Where were Bailey and the other killer I can’t remember his name right now lol they could of helped her. Or were they somewhere else at that time I can’t remember. This movie just seemed really rushed to me and has a LOT of plots holes. I would rather them take 2 or 3 years to make one and have a better story.

@@dylangardner5502 Bailey and Ethan were at the park with the others right before Tara and Sam sped off in Bailey’s car to Gale’s, so I just don’t see how either of them could have helped Quinn. A lot of disbelief has to be suspended for these films (at least in the recent ones) which is getting frustrating, but I still enjoy the films.

Because did you notice in scream 5 in the beginning when Tara is on the phone with the killer she answers billy loomis as the killer in stab 1 but the killer gets mad that she left out Stu macher.

I think all 5 make perfect sense and bolster the fact that they used elements of scream 1, for 5, and scream 2, for 6, including plot points that appeared in early drafts of the respective scripts. Scream 7 seems destined to be modeled after scream 3, which included the return of Stu Macher in early drafts. Scream 3 also takes us back to the beginning and reveals who was pulling the puppet strings all along which I’m banking will be Stu Macher in 7 who will reveal that he radicalized Amber and Richie in 5 and simultaneously connect everything back to the original. It’s the perfect outcome. I honestly can’t think of anything they could possibly do to top that. It has to be Stu.

Tbh the biggest clue for me since Scream 2 that one of the original killers is still alive is every “new” Ghostface always knows exactly what the original killers used to say to their victims, almost word for word and they always use exactly the same voice modulation. How would they know the exact voice to use? Unless one of the original Ghostface killers, of which we know Billy is definitely dead, told them what voice to use. And when Gale was attacked in Scream 6 the person on the phone specifically said we’ve never spoken before, again how would anyone else know Gale’s never actually received a call from the killer? Unless the cult of Ghostface theory is correct and Stu has orchestrated every single attack and kill from the very first sequel onwards…

My main reason in the Gale kill attempt scene is when she hits Ghost Face across the face with the pan and then later in the scene, shoots Ghost Face through the door after putting GF on hold, the grunts are from an adult male, not a young person, particularly not a female. It can't be Detective Bailey because his police vehicle was stolen by Tara & Sam and he's still in the park over 30 blocks away, and, it can't be Ethan because he's in the van with Mindy, Chad & Kirby. I am with you 100%, Craven!

Another thing I caught was when Ghostface was talking with Gale, he said "we have never talked on the phone before", makes it appear they have a history together VS her with the new trio.

Unless it’s a police officer who knows the phone call history with those involved from every single Ghostface attack related to Sidney or Sam. They kinda dig into that stuff. “Did you ever speak with your assailant?” or other things. I’m sure that’s written up in reports. I bet everything like THAT in the shrine (not every single last thing) was accessible because of someone else on the original case. The Himbry picture is a prime example if DNA analysis was successfully found despite the body being moved. Crime scene sketchers are a big deal.

We can say he was only imagining what a serial killer would do unless he was told or had written evidence or some confession. Same for someone in the police force. Just pure luck drawing a murder scene and where he was gutted after death. Stabbed a few times, one in a billion chance they got the areas he was stabbed in right (We can suspend disbelief for a lot of things this franchise has already done so let’s use it here). I’m trying to look at it from every angle because a lot of the things people look into from this new trilogy aren’t playing a big factor. Not every single last theory or easter egg. Sadly!

No way they didn’t think anyone would eventually get a good shot of it or however and start theorizing who the hell could have drawn this that was or is still alive when it’s only us, the audience who saw him be murdered in his office . . . . and the next time you hear about anything murder related via news or phone call is the call to the Macher house about his body being strung up at the football field. Either they are planning to go somewhere with Stu or maybe his older sister, Leslie. Because hey, those drawings could have been passed on or just willingly given to police evidence thanks to a family member like Leslie especially if Stu abruptly did get incarcerated or passed away in secret prior to these movie events.

Billy went to Stu's house right after killing Himbry, and Stu's party was happening (someone likely would've noticed if the host of a party disappeared to go draw drawings of dead bodies they shouldn't even know about yet), and after that we see everything pretty much play out almost in real time, with their confrontation with Sidney coming pretty shortly after. I guess it is possible he drew it while Billy and Sidney were upstairs, but it just seems like way too detailed a drawing to have been done in such a short amount of time. There is a possible way to explain this if Stu is dead though. Cameras in schools began becoming more popular in the mid-90s (so right around the time of the killings), and while they're generally not installed in principals offices, Himbry was killed right in front of the door, meaning his body could've been seen on a camera from the hallway after Billy opened the door to start moving him. Then Himbry's death would be able to be properly recreated in The Woodsboro Murders and Stab, and people would be able to draw an accurate pictures of his death

Quinn was never big enough to take out that large black guy Gayle was kicking it with. They specifically address his being muscular. She want nearly tall enough either. Just like Amber wasn’t tall enough to take out Dewey in such fashion. However, when Dewey was killed a line by Charlie Walker was quoted. Maybe three killers? 2 resurrected killers in Stu and Charlie, and a surviving victim in Kirby?

Unless Himbry’s cuts drew blood on his office floor and gave blood analysis for a crime scene sketch then it is someone else still alive, yet to be revealed. Like, instead of Stu in that scene maybe it will be revealed in 7 it was Christina regrettably. After all, we see the killer stalking in the bushes and in the store before sundown all the while the duo is in the video store with Randy. Hell! Maybe Bailey got that evidence precisely from a cop who drew it up as a “hypothetical”. OR he got all the written reports and allowed Richie to draw what was stated which is now in the shrine. Everybody missed the scene in the police room with Kirby. All the past ghostface pictures are on the white board. Kirby was saying what is the conections becasue the killer left behind past ghostface masks at the murder scene as a calling card. It had Billy as dead but Stu had a "?" next to his.

S-7 begins with a car driving along a rough dirt road in the middle of nowhere. Cuts, to Gale driving & stopping at this creepy house sounded with trees. She gets out her car & you see someone in the home looking out the curtains. The door opens & she puts her hand to her mouth. We see a tall man from the back looking at her. Goes to Mindy, trying to call Gail leaving the 100th voicemal.... "Gail, I'm worried did you find him, or was this just another bad lead?" Guess who!

One of the things that I don’t understand is that during the Gale/Ghostface scene is that Gale whacks the hell out of Ghostface’s face/head with a cast iron skillet type of pan… yet when the killers have their reveal… none of them have a single mark on their face from that pan. Stu could have been working with every Ghostface being the mastermind behind it all and getting all the future Ghostfaces together. He could always have been the first kill of each movie but didnt want the credit. If Michael can get shot 6 times, a tv to the head can just cause a severe shock and concussion. It is highly plausible that he is alive.

Also the the perfect way Scream 6 clould have ended was a cameo from Nev answeing her phone and it was Ghostface saying "Surprise Sidney!" Then the voice changer is removed and its Stu saying "Did ya miss me?"

Ghostface: Ritchie and Amber managed to butcher Dewey carved him up like a Christmas Goose. -- Stu said that in Scream 1 when the student pranking. Stu saying, "You kidding me this place is Christmas." This part always bothered me because I couldn't figure it. I understand this part Stu in on it with Ritchie and Amber. The part where Amber claimed she was being pressured into it. Got me thinking of Scream 1 where Sidney is talking to Stu on the phone. Telling her he was pressured into it by Billy. There were three. Ghostface: Strange that you and I have never spoken on the phone. This is long overdue.

I was re-watching Scream 5, and found it interesting that whatever Ghost Face Tara was on the phone with, in the opening scene, didn’t know what “elevated horror” was. Amber and Richie being young in age, and horror fans would definitely be familiar with the phrase. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one to notice this. This leads me to believe that the ghost face on the phone, in that opening scene, was an older person from a different time; like Stu. The Ghost Face in that scene also keeps talking about how they are in a “group” with Christina. Interesting. Maybe they are in some sort of group or cult together. There is definitely a connection there. It wasn’t a lie; that Ghost Face and Christina do indeed interact with one another. (Yes, I know the implication was a AA group, but I’m saying the “group” could actually have another meaning, with Tara and the audience just assuming it was referring to AA) It’s just all very interesting and I’m curious to see where it all goes. I think Christina has been there since the beginning. She knew exactly what Billy and Stu were doing and maybe she was even part of it. The drawings could indeed had been drawn by Christina, especially if she was present for everything. These films always connect to the past. I think we’re going to go back to the beginning in Scream 7 and show that Sam and Tara, through Christina, are actually more involved in the story than they ever could have imagined. One crazy theory: Tara is actually Stu’s daughter. Christina slept with both Billy and Stu as part of some strange cult thing. Tara secretly knows this and has been suppressing her “crazy” side. We got to see a glimpse of her psychotic tendencies in Scream 6, but it’s only the beginning. So, we’ve been led to believe that Sam is the one dealing with demons, when in reality it’s Tara who is the real threat who may go full Ghost Face.

He was talking about AA. That was the group. Don’t forget that Amber said she would overhear her speaking her business. She wasn’t clean. And for good reasons. She was very likely an accomplice in murder. Guilty conscious. She had a baby with a psychopath so chances are high. For all we know probably killed at least one person or did some stalking. Himbry? By the time the movie begins, Sidney was already on and off with him.

I agree the Ritchie family attacking Gale didn’t really make sense. She barely had anything to do with Ritchie’s take down. There were definitely 2 people involved i that thought because we see ghost face behind her but hear him in the phone. I want to rewatch it and gage the height of Quinn vs Stu in that suit. Stu is pretty tall but Quinn is average at best. The principal Hembree saying didn’t really sell it for me, though surely the police determined where he was killed, and that the body was moved. He was bleeding an awful lot. So I can’t imagine that they didn’t figure out he was actually killed in the school.

This is interesting. HOWEVER, what about Ethan’s death? People say Stu could have survived the tv. Okay, let’s go with this. So, that begs the question of is Ethan alive, too? Because that tv sure as hell seemed to kill him. Stu says, “I’m hurting here man, you cut me too deep, I think I’m dying here.” Ethan has been through it and the exact same tv falls on him, ending him. So we have serious issues with the tv. I love Matthew Lillard and I think he’s a super underrated actor, but I think this proves he’s dead. Unless Ethan is alive.

you bring up some very interesting points that I didn't pick up on and haven't seen anyone else talk about. I don't necessarily agree with everything, but this is still very thought provoking. I am a HUGE Stu fan, so if he were to come back, I'd be over the moon in many ways, but I know I'd also be like "ugh." because of how unrealistic it would be, you know? it's just hard to imagine that he could be alive after nearly 30 years without it ever coming up. They'd have to back track quite a bit to make it believable, unless I'm just not thinking creatively enough. Thanks for this video! definitely made me think.

I'm on the Stu train...But all of the sketches were drawn by Richie. There was a CUT scene that I watched in the theater for scream 22, showing Richie's bedroom from his home in Atlanta. His bedroom was full sketches and drawings of murderers and victims, but at the time i didn't know whos room it was until scream 6 released. STU reference: I noticed alot of people complaining about this particular scene. At the end of the reveal Sam and Dt. Bailey are pointing guns at each other, then charge each other screaming until they fall over the railing. That's what Stu did to Sidney after she stabs Billy with the umbrella. That's also what Amber did ( bc she's obsessed) after she turned into Freddy Krueger.

I could buy Stu being alive if he's in prison, but I can't buy Stu being alive and having faked his own death. Sidney, Gale, Randy, and Neil were all there at Stu's house (so was Dewey, but he was like on the verge of death and likely unaware of anything that happened after his collapse on the porch), so if his body mysteriously disappeared before the police arrived, one of them would've likely pointed that out in sequels. He would likely be seen a suspect for those movie's events. But if he was in prison, it would make more sense not to suggest him as an option for the current killer because he'd be in jail and nowhere near Ohio or New York, not in Hollywood, and locked up likely somewhere relatively close to Woodsboro, but likely not in, Woodsboro (we've never really seen a prison in Woodsboro, so probably safe to assume he went to the closest one) It would definitely line up with how Stab contains scenes no one but the killer and victim were there for (I mean, save for the dialogue and a few added details (such as the shower), the opening of Stab is extremely close to how the events actually played out despite no one involved remaining alive, however if Stu survived, he would obviously have to give police statements, a trial, etc.) Gale would easily have access to this info, as she was with Dewey for a brief time, so she could've got the information from Dewey about what Stu would've told police, and as a survivor and witness herself would have to be present for the trial so would also collect more of the information from that. This would also explain the drawings, because even though Stu wasn't the one who killed Himbry, he would've likely plotted it out with Billy ahead of time still, and would've had a closer general idea of what happened to him. So while I don't think he himself did the drawings, I do agree him being alive is a likely way someone could've found out how he was killed. However, there's also just possibly cameras in the school, which began becoming more common in schools in the mid-90s (so right around the events of the film) that could've seen Himbry's body. If Kirby knew more than she was letting on, then it would imply that his death was falsely reported by the police themselves as dead, with only the police and survivors being aware (and at some point, the FBI). It would also explain why Stab fans, such as Mindy and the ones making that KZbin video, are hesitant to buy that Stu's really dead. Gale would've known about Stu's survival, and could've possibly written his character's ending in a much more ambiguous way (we never see that scene in Stab, so who knows if Gale changed anything in it). It's also possible if the police/FBI are covering it up, and could've possibly paid a sum to the survivors to sign an NDA, which would explain why they never even really mention Stu's (I think the only time he was mentioned was when Randy was mocking him on the phone to Mrs. Loomis, when it was revealed Vince was his nephew and when Sidney tells Sam she's in Stu's house, neither of which would go against an NDA about if he was alive) and would explain why Gale would still kill him off in her book/movie even if he wasn't dead. I also don't believe he's the one who attacked Gale, I think that was a nod to Stab itself though. The scene of Randy on the couch is a popular one among fans, and Stab's recreation of the scene is almost shot for shot (thanks to Gale's hidden camera), so it's safe to assume in-universe it's a popular scene as well. I took that as the killer recreating the motion from the movie as a way to taunt Gale by essentially killing her in a similar manor to how the killers behave in the movie that was made because of her. I just took it as another way for the killer to taunt her for her greed like he'd done on the phone. So yeah, this could be a nod to Stu, or at least Stu's character in Stab, but I highly doubt Stu was behind the mask. So yeah, basically there are ways they could work Stu being alive, but I just feel like faking his death wouldn't really make sense with Sidney, Gale, Randy, and Neil not mentioning him in the sequels, but a police/FBI cover up, while still a stretch, just feels slightly more believable, and could work if done right. Personally, I'm on the fence. I don't think there's enough evidence to definitely say Stu is alive, but I also don't feel like there's enough to say he's definitively dead. But as long as they write it in a good way, I'm fine with either route

Also, someone who is a big fan of Neve and has met Neve several times at a convention has told me on Twitter that Neve is against bringing Sidney's children into the fold. The person sent me the video in a private message and sure enough she is indeed against it. Neve said if Sidney were to return she would be a mom but she would not allow her kids to be be involved. In fact she doesn't want any kids on set for Scream. So those ideas of a Scream reboot happening with Sidney and her kids in the future, will it happen? Nope. Neve has declined it.

I'm totally on board the StuTrain, but to maintain credibility, I must call out flaws from our side of the debate. If it's a size argument, the GF that killed Dewey was too short to be Stu. And I don't believe Amber took credit so enthusiastically just to mess with Gale. Not buying that one. While Quinn tossing around Gale's boyfriend is totally unbelievable, the two-handed attempt to stab Gale I do believe was Quinn. i think stu is coming back to mirror the scream 3 reveal. tho i think the death sketches in the shrine are the only solid in world clue in this movie, but A Very strong one at that. the area code is interesting but I dont think stu would call from his own phone thats just feels a little sloppy if we are to believe he masterminded the events of S5 and possibly S6. bringing him back in the right way would only serve to make S5 and S6 stronger in retrospect.
