I made these recently and I'm not sure what I did wrong to the manjar blanco. The cookies came out perfect once I realized I was supposed to use corn starch and not corn flower lol. I think my first batch would have been. . . tortillas? Anyway, I should have read the comments below first. I thought I made the manjar blanco the same way, but it turned out very stiff. It was almost impossible to pipe out of a bag. Did I over cook it?

Hi Lorena, I came across your channel and I love it. Thank you for sharing your gift. I baked the alfajores for 8 minutes, but they were very soft, so I baked them for a total of 20 minutes right when the edges were getting light brown. They were delicious, but I was wondering if the 8 minutes baking is with a certain type of oven. I have a convection oven.

By corn flour do you mean cornstarch?

Hi! Yes! Cornstarch :) I know my ingredients with the UK names and sometimes I forget to clear it up for my US audience :)

Can you freeze the dough?

If your manager tells you no, isn’t that limiting your pro time. If it’s limited it’s not unlimited

My manjar blanco became very thick and sticky and difficult to use after cooling. What could I have done wrong 😭 Can I let it sit in warm water to make it more manageable?? Pls help

Hi! You must have cooked it for a bit too long. But don't worry! Warm it up in a pot and mix it with a bit of milk until you like the consistency :)
