We run a 732i JD sprayer at the moment. Looking at swapping it as it’s to big for us, and it’s getting on in age! Fantastic sprayer when it’s working, wasn’t specced very well though!

we run a john deere 732, at 30m booms. fantastic machine. auto boom levelling works well. fantastic support from dealer. ours is 4 years old only issues were self inflicted with a sharp frost one night. we are only in borders if you need to see one running.

We run a R962i JD 36m trailer sprayer. Fantastic bit of kit, ex demo all the toys and gadgets on it. Single nozzle shutoff has made our fields smaller so reduced our costs on chemicals etc. I managed 210ha in a day just the other week spraying. Pulled by a 6250R

Question - with the increase in the number of coos what are you going to feed in the winter? Stay with ammonia straw? grow / bale more silage? and with the new shed how are you going to feed in the winter? a new shed and using ring feeders and big bales probably would not make sense. going to get a feeder waggon or somother system?

John Deere sprayers are excellent bits of kit - bomb proof compared to competitors. We were between a horsch and a Jd, jd had better pump and simpler booms with less to go wrong and the operator didn’t fancy the 80 odd grease nipples that come with the horsch! We run a fastrac 4220 on ours with no problem at all

Considering all sprayers manufacturers use the same ancillaries; some make their own boom it is a lot down to dealer support (just in case). I personally like Kuhn sprayers 😉

They are slate rippers. You slide it up under the slate and hook it on to the nail then hit it with a hammer to cut the nail so you can the slide a slate out of the middle of a roof👍

If I think about what our own bin tends to weigh, consider that trailer being about 5 times the size, then divide by the fluffyness of the wire... I'd say 1,5 tons, because I don't want to go way higher than the other guesses.
