I Hit The Shed

Today i had an accident…
My name is Crawford and I’m a farmer.
Being a farmer is more than a job; it’s a way of life. The good days can involve bringing new life onto the farm or sunny days outdoors whilst on others it's dealing with machinery breakdowns and on the worst days, sometimes animal deaths.
Farming can be isolating at times - away from the busy streets and city life - so this platform brings you closer to the inner workings showing the highs and lows and everything in between.
I hope to bring some context to how the food ends up on your plate, from your Sunday roasts to morning porridge and even the tulips on your kitchen table. Hopefully a bit of agricultural education along the way.
This video captures the latest goings on including crop management and our efforts to increase sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.

Hi Crawford, loved the video. Got sent here by Tom Pemberton who gave you a shout out on his video today! Great to have a Scottish Farmer to follow as I am just up the road in Aberdeenshire. Been about farms most of my life but retired now, so guess i have no excuse but to go back to the start of your videos and get caught up. I also have an excuse to pay a visit to the shop and cafe. I think its a sparrow hawk.Pereguine falcon's take pigeons in flight and always take them to a high point called a plucking post to pluck them .

struck a pigeon traveling north m9 seen it in the distance walking across road then gave flight some bang smashed the trim van booked in to bustec for repair.😭

Crawford…with the hit to the shed wall, is it repairable? Or, will you need to do more extensive rebuilding? Or, renovate? I believe you and your dad may have had some discussions on options to properly sort things out. Nice to see the swans. Do you have other waterfowl feeding in the fields? On the Defender fusebox, good juryrig repair, but ultimately best to replace it with one in good condition. Thank you, and take care.

im sure you said 1.3 mm lol.. Minimum is 1.6mm over 3/4 of the tyre around the whole circumference. All tyres have tread wear indicators in the bottom of the main tread groove. Those pesky highlands lol.. I would say its not a Peregrine, and Sparrowhawks are about the same size and have similar colouring to their feathers. Its probably a female Sparrowhawk as the smaller male wont take anything much larger than a thrush. They have yellow around the eye's and longer tails than the darker eyed Peregrine, will catch prey on the wing. Sparrowhawk will take pigeon on the ground and eat them on a post or in a sheltered area on the ground they dont have the lift capacity of the Falcon. Get the camera man to get a better picture picture next time lol😀

Have you tried cutting your hedges every other year , so the hedges can fruit and the birds can feed on the berries ? Sparrow hawk pigeon killer.

We cut half the hedges on our farm each year for that reason so the birds always have something to eat it works well

@@paulthompson8467 I lived on an Estate where the Tennant farmer was meant to do that but he said I can never remember which hedges to cut so it is much easier and neater to cut them every year.
