Heyyy, thats me! 😃 Im gonna say it: Cougars > LP Ruptures. Its a shame you cant get them anymore (but its also an exclusive item 😉) I dont have a rig that fits them, but you know im going to build one. Im so thankful I managed to get a set some months ago, they are incredible on a rig that is wayy too wide and long for that size of tire (imagine running them on Zoidberg, thats basically what im doing right now)

Here’s something I’d like to see, 2FMRC just made a video comparing printed foams vs dual stage…. Normal dual stages won by a LONG SHOT. I’d like to see how those results hold up to your testing my friend

I would probably find the same, or a mix. If that 3D printed is dead-on, perfectly fitted to the tire, and perfectly matched in stiffness to the weight of the rig, it is IMO unparalleled. But a dual stage is gonna be anywhere from "pretty good" to "OMG" regardless of what tire it's in or what rig it's on. Wolverine drives every day on stock, single-stage JConcepts foams. Baseline is on dual stage hairbuns, and he can do most anything. 3D printed is great, but I genuinely don't think that they're always needed.

@@CrawlerCanyon I feel the same way but 2FMRC swears up and down that he’s tried many printed inserts and can’t find anything good… I’ve never done back to back testing with hard enough lines that it differentiates them definitively

@@V8chump I've tested the silicone and 3D printed back-to-back in Comp Pins, and the 3D printed were significantly better. I wouldn't take the Squids out of Argentum's Tusks for any reason-- and I've used pretty much anything you can think of in a Tusk.

@@V8chump adding further, I watched a bit of it, and it's honestly bad math on his part. He says he's run everything, but mentions only 3Bros. Anti-Foams are without the tuning rods, regardless of what the packaging says. I own one set and wouldn't buy another. BUT! Do you know who runs those Anti-Foams? Jake the Snake. So anybody that tries to tell me that they won't work doesn't know what they're talking about. If you take any two sets of inserts and run them consecutively, one is going to be better than the other. One set not working on one rig is not the condemnation of an entire market segment. I have 3D inserts from 6 or 7 brands across the fleet, and they all work well. If they don't work on one rig, I swap them to another one. Five of the top Ten rigs at Mavericks are on printed inserts.

At the time they were shorter then the up and coming tires for competition, being on straight axles only the popular thing was moving towards the taller tires. So as demand slowed... business did what it had to unfortunately. But was and remains my favorite tire/compound, for 15+ yrs now.

Panther is apparently still around, they have a website that sometimes loads-- but why they stopped making crawler tires is a mystery, so far as I know.
