Man Doc, that body looks awesome! Great job on the patina! Perfect color and weathering! I have the stock Marlin rollbar in mine, but after seeing yours without the rollbar, I'm thinking about removing mine. I think the stock rollbar bar looks to big and thick. I think a 3/16" rod rollbar would look much better in the bed or leave it out completely like you did. On the driver, I'd go with the Tamiya Bruiser driver. Since the body looks so good, I'd cap it off with a nicely detailed driver. Oh and the tires. I agree that they are great and I still run mine since I haven't yet found a replacement tire that would look and perform as good as they do. I would like to vent mine, but since I live in the wetlands much of the year, I prefer to keep my foams dry as possible.

If there's a thing we don't have here, it's wetlands. About 330 days a year here, the only water the course sees comes out of a hose.

I have the Injora 550 21t in my RC4WD mojave!! & I have to say for $16 Dollars I was very surprised. I do have 2 speed transmission With the stock Pinion gear I do get super low Control and fast when I need it esc is the 1081 injoyed watching your video

The beauty of the leafs is when you grab a controller for a different rig, most anything else climbs like a spider. It's also putting the idea in my head to build a hybrid, like leafs in the rear and 3-link up front. At the very least it has me itching to do another hardbody.

Hard to go wrong with a patina. They're just fun. As far as I'm concerned, they're impossible to mess up, too. Have fun building the kit, and don't skimp on the threadlock!

As was pointed out to me, the fun is in trying to get used to working within it's limitations. I mean, leafs and a +1lb body? It punches way above it's weight (no pun intended) with just a bit of tweaking.

Among the "locals," which are the friends, relatives, and 100% non-crawler people, that body (and rig) is pretty much the unanimous favorite. People love a hardbody. I am constantly resisting the temptation, but I REALLY want to build up a rig with that Killerbody LC70. It hasn't happened because the body and matching bumper cost more than an Element or Axial kit.😳

Looks great! I thought about painting over the red on my Marlin….couldn’t get myself to do it. What part of SoCal ? Im in the SD area. Huge fan of your course and would love to crawl with you if you were ever open to the idea.

I guess I never have a problem painting over red. I've never had a red 1:1 car, I had one red bike (which I painted green) so I think I had the idea to repaint this before I even unpacked it. I'm out in the Inland Empire. Anyone willing to make the trek out here is welcome to wheel-- and summer is started to wind down, so it won't be a blistering inferno much longer.
