To be clear, you get more force with a shorter arm. Torque is the same. Something to think about, if you are constantly reducing the steering endpoints you are leaving performance on the bench. Instead of reducing travel to 65%, use a servo arm that is 65% as long (35% shorter) will net you approximately 50% more force. Of course there is actually something to be said for what is probably preferred geometry of a 23-25mm arm . . . .

I run the MKS!! I found it odd and as did many others but it performs!! Super reliable (real world bonds and crawls) and noisy as hell. It just makes your rig sound like it has rabies and wants to eat something. Also people hate the talking and I find it funny and don’t kind at all. I think it’s a health mix of talk and doing.

That MKS is pulling a large amount of power. Are you planning to put together a public sheet with all the servo test results? It would be interesting to see the oz./amp for all of them to see how efficient the servo is when converting the power into torque.

I have a spreadsheet going with the results, and I can certainly add peak/avg amp draw to it. Some of the peak draws are NUTS.

@@CrawlerCanyon Awesome! You’re doing work that I’ve always wanted to do, just never found the time with all the other projects I have. Great job so far, can’t wait to see how things progress.

I have 4x Holmes SHV650. Freakin love them. I mean I thought loud servos were kind of just normal, especially for high power servos. I love direct power. Super tired of having to run a BEC.

How come there isnt a playlist for the state of the canyon? Id love to watch. Thanks a bunch

Well there is now! kzbin.info/aero/PLZRl9WrWIiCc4iFp2bpjXx1EAzjqokQlZ I think I got MOST of the videos in it, I'm sure it's missing a couple. I blame my own inability to title them consistently.

Yah In the software setup installed by the manufacture has the damping cranked up to make the servo nosier ...In setup programming of the AGF I can make it servos really noisy too...//

Can u test the like 65$ 1tenth scale rc direct power servo please
@CrawlerCanyon2 жыл бұрын
You're going to have to narrow that down a little-- there's a decent number of servos out there that would fall into that description.

If I'm spending $100 on a servo, I buy an NSDRC RS700. Plenty of power and a lower center of gravity. I have two of them now.

Love the videos and the results. But maaaaaaan, toooooo much talk

Some people like talk some don't. It's free, has fast forward and a volume button.

I'd like to put one of these servos on a truck with one of those noisy outrunner motors just to make the least enjoyable crawler ever made. Then head out in the woods to cut through the peaceful sounds of nature with it humming and screeching like a dial-up modem. LOL, hard pass.

I used to use Savox all the time-- in go fast stuff-- so I never noticed how noisy they were. I had a Savox micro servo in use for dig for about... 10 minutes. I was louder than the MKS, and could apparently NEVER find center. It burbled and buzzed constantly.
