Shhh. Don't let everyone know about AGFRC 😂 been my go to servos for two years now. Once i found out they manufactured most of the "big" names, I went straight to the source! Great video

The torq specs given by the manufacturer are with the Servo horn being 1 inch away hence the OZ-IN. So servos should be tested in my opinion at 1 inch or 25.4mm if possible. Definitely some good servos you got there. Cool video.👍

Every servo is "adjusted," as torque is linear. Servos are tested at 24mm, then the number is multiplied by a correction factor of 0.925. Both numbers are useful. The number at one inch is for academic purposes, the one at 24mm is for real-world purposes. I doubt even 1% of people are running a horn with the output at 1". The shorter the horn, the more effective torque. This is why Vanquish (and others) favor 20mm horns.

I bought one of the faster AGF 32kg servos on a whim. I think it's the brushless version of the A73 and it's sat in the packaging since it was delivered. I ended up going direct power on that project and this is effectively a spare. Some seriously respectable numbers from the AGF servos. Owning an A81BHMW running on a BEC, that one is a speedy beast of a servo (got it on black Friday last year). Thanks for these tests. These are both entertaining and educational for me. Also thank you very much for speaking about your results moving the turnbuckle closer to the center. I am running dual RS700s on my 4ws rig and set them up on the inner hole of those common aluminum horns. It seems they would make a bit more torque, but maybe only a little

It's linear. Torque = Force x Distance. So the closer the hole you use to the pivot, the more force you will be able to create from the same torque. By using a closer hole you don't gain torque, you gain force and the torque stays the same. Since the torque is given in ounce-inches, at 1 inch from the pivot you will get the actual torque described on the package (that is if each servo is giving the correct numbers from the factory - most underrate them). On that first pull at 8.4V, you got 548.4 Oz @ 23.5mm (or 0.925 in) so the actual torque created is 548.4 oz x 0.925 in = 507.27 oz-in. And on that first set of 3 pulls you got an average of 598 oz or 16.95 kg @ 23.5mm or 2.35 cm. So the actual average torque is 16.95 kg * 2.35 cm = 39.83 kg-cm. It's not kg per cm.

You are correct but you have to take the leverage ratio into account for the force applied over any given distance. Otherwise you will have false readings or screwed outcomes based a single baseline. I wonder how much those numbers change based on the leverage of the servo arm.

I have the 32KG in my outcast 6s right now. My servo saver is terribly tight to the point it may as well not be a servo saver. I'm surprised the abuse it's taken.

My mind was blown by my A86BHMW and now I know why. It's such a good servo. I run the receiver powered version at 7.4 it's impressive, and $40 cheaper than the direct power version. I didn't even know they made a direct power version, and I honestly probably won't try one--the receiver powered one already broke an axle on my Gatekeeper on a rock we call "$60 Rock" because of how many axles it's broken. That said, it was a good excuse to upgrade to SSDs. If you ever have the chance to check, I wonder how the A86 direct power version does on 7.4v, I'm guessing it's about the same as what I see with the receiver powered version.

As long as you have the servo in a 1/10 crawler you are golden....dont put it in a 1/8 buggy/truggy....dont ask how I know that😏

Is a direct power servo suitable for bashing ? Everyone i see talking about them uses them for crawlers. It's confusing. Even on product pages, they're always aimed at crawler people. Does anyone have experience with bashing on a direct power servo? Thanks.

After seeing this test I almost regret buying the FlashHobby 14v 50kg. The 32kg from AGFRC is almost as strong on 7.4v and its programable. I tried the 12v FlashHobby and it was cooked out of the box. These tests are proving to be VERY useful for me since I have no way to set up a test bench like that, nor do I want to. My only concern with the 32kg AGFRC is brown out at max turn with that kind of amp draw. I'm using a 1080 esc and I'm afraid it would either brown out or stall under load when the crawler is bound up.

I've really been flying by the seat of my pants on some rigs-- Blue Sky High is running TWO A73s off of the internal BEC in a Fusion. Seeing those amp peaks makes me think I should really get an external BEC in there before I cook something... or everything.

the SA75 servo is the ticket ,it has power /speed/and great price - no one realy needs the big one - that will snap an axle joint and won't even feel it - maybe a heavy Ryft - but i think the SA75 can take care off that no problems

the servos rating is inch lbs, 1" is 24.5mm. even the little bit you are below that skews your results.
@CrawlerCanyon
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
One inch is 25.4mm, not 24.5mm. And based on the hole position on the horn, all output results are multiplied by 0.925 as torque force is linear, so the adjusted numbers are correct. But the raw numbers are inarguably more applicable, because the only horn I know of with a hole at exactly 1" is the double-sided one from NSDRC. We're all running horns with the hole at 22mm or 24mm from the output, so we're all seeing more force than the 1" numbers. I have a few rigs with 18mm horns, so they're getting a full 1/3 more force.

I get 'em on Amazon. You can just search for "long servo horn." I got that one in a two-pack from "Dilwe," but they appear to be out of Prime-- so you wouldn't get one until January. Seems to still be available in gold, blue, and other flashy colors.

Not even a year ago ...somebody mentioned AGFrc, literally everbody on the forums were like : AGFrc ?? more chinese crap?? Now they doubled the prices , support some of the YT clowns and still have a crappy customer service , suddenly they are "top notch" .....very funny 😄 I own various servos from them and was a supporter once but I was treated like a doormat as a paying customer....keep that in mind , boys. 😉
@CrawlerCanyon
@CrawlerCanyon 2 жыл бұрын
As long as you keep in mind that they're the OE for scads of re-branders out there, I'll keep AGFRC's customer support (or lack thereof) as a consideration. But with few exceptions, anything RC-related I buy off of Amazon I simply classify as caveat emptor, with little or no CS or im/explicit warranty behind it. I'm buying servos off of Amazon regularly, and realize that every purchase is a gamble-- might work, might not. If I'm out 60 bucks (or more) that's mostly on me. I've killed a combination of HiTec and Savox servos in far greater number than anything from Amazon. Because while I think about it, I haven't killed servos from Amazon.

@CrawlerCanyon
@CrawlerCanyon Ай бұрын
They are, at least where I am in the US, expensive relatively speaking. 25-33% more for the same ounces, and that's compared to AGFRC-- compared to any of the other re-badgers (like Flash Hobby, Sincecam, BETU, 9imod, etc) the prices are double or more. Feels like Promodeler has the air tax on it, which is even bigger than the crawler tax. This might be one of those instances where they're cheaper outside the US market.

Love all my old Reefs but I've moved on. Homes shv 800 power is hard to beat. I have hundreds of hours on mine and it is amazing 4s. Diamond 4s are great "budget" direct power. Very fast. Don't use cheap horns. Lately, I've been messing with 6s drone esc/batteries in 1/10 crawlers. NHX makes a 6s direct power servo. I've been testing in different rigs for a couple months. Absolutely freak.
