Technically, shambling mounds already contain something semi-undead in the older lore. They tend to start around, I believe, wood elf corpses though that might have changed.

Hey John! I've not heard of The Crawling Grave before but I'm new to D&D anyways! It's really, really creepy and I enjoyed watching you make it! It kinda reminds me of a sci-fi story I read a long time ago about four astronauts who fell into what looked like a pile of leaves that turned out to be a creature! The creature absorbed their bodies leaving only their brains and consciousness! This seems sort of like that but in a horror story genre way! I can just see it crawling down the corridors of your catacombs searching for someone to add to itself! Great video!

I have a few questions: I see that there are many skeletons but I noticed there were no weapons, shield or clothing. Were the "people" naked when the "Monster" took them? Yes, I'm late to the party. I have done something similar with loosened/ unraveled burlap , but the scotchbrite makes a much more "airy" effect. Another great trick/ tip brother.... So... kept playing in those catacombs til you roused this creeping horror.. See what happens when you act like a "bonehead"?

The burlap is a cool idea. The scrub pad I used was nice as it really locked in the mud texture too. I know… you think I’d learn my lesson :)
