Do You Need a Sump Pump?

I would look for a better sump pump. I purchased several Flores pumps that were guaranteed for life,good luck getting a new pump. I also tried to contact Flotec.The warranty is BS.

My town code requires an encapsulated crawlspace to either have a drain to daylight or sump pump. I assume a hole in the vapor barrier to drain to daylight would defeat the purpose of encapsulation so does that mean I just need to install a sump pump to be up to my town code?

Hey CSN, If I install a sump pump like you recommend, can I discharge my dehumidifier condensate line directly into it? Also & separately, when I take my sump pump water away from the house, can it go to the same pop-up emitter that a gutter downspout does? Or does it need its own emitter? Thank you!

Hey Katherine, yes you can discharge the dehumidifier condensate line into the sump pump, but we would recommend the sump pump having its own emitter outside of the house. Thanks for watching!
