This feels like using the work PC in that it's a deeply painful experience that makes you question your own abilities, as well as the existence of any possible higher power that would let you suffer through using such a bastard piece of material. And honestly, it's incredibly infuriating when any product uses a digital drawing to show off the product rather than a real photo. And in any sorts ads, it's likely they just used edits and premade "good final results" to make it look like the product works :/

the stencils and sticker paper could be fun to use for something else. and maybe you could mix the glitter with acrylic medium and use it like paint.

This is genuinely damaging to beginners, because wether you want to admit it or not. Most people start with Crayola, and they're not being given a fair start. They're being given the absolute baseline trash, and then a Photoshop fantasy to use as a reference. Some of these low budget kits go for 20$-40$, if you've ever watched Nerdecrafter.

The dedication to the video to put up with that torture is beyond admirable! I could never, especially after the texture description. I wonder if the glitter dots are just a Crayola-ized version of a grown up art/craft supply that’s meant to be used with adhesive, like for scrapbooking or something

It's products like this that just make me wonder how it got made. The idea seems so odd and then you would think there would be some kind of testing going on- maybe at that point they sunk enough money in they were just like "well it's glitter, children will ask their parents for it anyway"

I would've been curious to see how this stuff would've worked on regular paper! you said at the beginning that the sticker sheets were really shiny, and obviously they *should* give you materials you can actually work with, but I do wonder if the weird stuff holding together the glitter would have a better time actually sticking to a surface with normal paper instead :O

My best guess is it was glitter glue and most of the water in the glue has evaporated through the packaging, which is still on Crayola. But based on the packaging, it doesn't seem like that's likely. And having any thing stick to glossy paper is going to be tough.

Oh this is what happens when you get a used version, when I suggested to do this one, I was hoping it'd still be alright like when I saw NerdECrafter use one of these. I guess I should have seen that coming. But, the one she did had the dots sealed in acrylic - like charms too, which means even when they dried out, they were sealed in.

I would take all the glitter and mold it into a glitter statue. Could be pretty. Spray it with some varnish and then slap some mod podge on

Gotta remember that if you use your fingers for this, you then wash your hands and are basically throwing microplastics into the ocean because it's trashy glitter and not biodegradable.

I would just like to share that Crayola's own website has advice for using the glitter dots thst says they stick best on UNCOATED POROUS surfaces like card stock or poster board. They literally gave you a surface that they knew the dots wouldn't stick to in the kit.

Hullo Guys, I sometimes wonder how Crayola sells anything! Yet their crayons are a staple in every household in America as well as other countries across the world! I only got one big supply kits as a kid and it was horrible! the "best part" was the color pencils and they were not that good, but compared to the other supplies they were usable. Half of the markers were dry! Even the paints in the tubes were bad. If I remember right the binder separated and just a clearish goo came out and the pigment was in the bottom and just a hard goo that did not squeeze out! I do hope you guys spend your money on supplies that will allow you to create some actual art works! Ok til next time.
