He can also go for the same fish species, but a bigger fish of that species. For instance, the tiger fish he caught was big, but not nearly the "monster" fish it could be! And that could be said for a lot of the fish he caught. They were decent size fish, but they definitely get much bigger than the ones he caught.

I knew where Jeremy was as soon as I saw the rocks. I stood on those rocks alongside the Congo River back in 1987 when I was in the People’s Republic of Congo on an expedition into a remote swamp region in the northern part of that nation. While in Brazzaville a friend I made there took me to see the rapids. I’m as surprised as Jeremy was that anyone would jump into those incredibly turbulent waters. On my KZbin channel there’s a CNN news video about the Congo expedition I was a part of.

Would love to see him start a new show where he targets saltwater fish, or one where he partners with chefs around the world to do some epic catch and cooks in different traditional ways. This guy practically inspired my interest in fishing. I started watching his show because I was obsessed with aquarium fish, especially the biggest and most predatory ones, and then I found his episode on snakeheads. Of course I started binge watching his show. Watching him fight these massive fish made me want to see if I could do it too. After feeling my first good sized fish trying to pull me into the water, there was no turning back at that point.

As a former commercial/charter fisherman of over 25 years here in Florida i've had to go into shark infested waters on numerous occasions to either help another boater out or having to remove heavy lines around the props on the boat. It's something that you dont really think about the bad things that could happen...you just take your precautions and do it. But bare in mind...i never took a risk that i didnt feel comfortable doing. It's just the life of a true fisherman.
