Disclaimer: This body was completely shot with rust. The footage doesn't do justice to how bad it was. Just know this going into the video and try to understand the purpose behind it. We didn't destroy an early Bronco just for the fun of it...but it was fun :) Hope you all enjoy the video and DON'T do this at home!!!

Are you wanting your rig built by Hella Bad or by WILD HORSES? Unfortunately we don't work on customer vehicles.

Now that cage was impressive and after the rolling that many times didn't seem to punch the cage base pads through. Very cool video. Thanks Bailiebuilt and Hellabad. And thanks Mitch.

This is an excellent video on the cage strength and design. It may be a good idea to show everyone how you bolted the bottom side of the base plates to the body. Most people use large fender washers and some use additional base plates to help keep the cage from punching through the floor versus tying it into the frame. You should do a quick follow up on how you mount cages and what hardware you use for proper strength. It appears you may have also had the cage tied into the sides of the bed? If so, that is very worthwhile to mention too. I'm a life long early Bronco enthusiast and have built many cages for myself and others too and you would do the Early Bronco community a great service if you share the info on proper mounting AND what kind, size and alloy tube you guys use too, mainly for those who cant get to your shop for the professional fabrication and installation you do. Mitch, as always, keep the killer videos coming. Tell your dad Michael V says Hello and see you all in Big Bear!

Hella Bad Broncos has a video on their channel that talks a little more about how they installed the cage. That's definitely a great idea though! Thanks, Michael! Hopefully we will see you up there!

@@wildhorses4x4 Great on the cage install, I will have to find that and check it out, maybe they should link it to this video? Also, tell your dad that you would not have gotten a "time out" in your other video from the hammers if you hadn't bought a "My Little Pony" version of the new Bronco.....

That was great footage I tied my rollcage to the frame because I didn’t trust the cage wouldn’t punch through.👍
@wildhorses4x43 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if you have the knowledge and means to do that, it's obviously not a bad idea, but this video just goes to show that a few cross bars will do the trick and keep the cage from punching through your floor.
