@@matt59fire I pointed out a double standard. Looks like it worked 100%. Black person runs > comments about "black magic" or "black excellence" > nobody has any issue with it. It's no problem at all. I comment "white magic" and people start slinging around the word racist and getting upset by it. If it's wrong for one, it's wrong for all. If it's not wrong for one, then it's not wrong for all. I was the oldest by 2 yrs at the police academy in "05 running 36 sec in 300mtwo consecutive times. First time without a good warm up and the second time a double warm up. Ran to slow at the start and next too fast. It takes practice to get it right. I should have tried for a scholarship but went into the army for 6 years before going into college and running on their track team. Wonder how far I could have gone with a good coach. I was MVP in High school my sophomore year but only the seniors got individual training at Corona del Mar. I went into coaching in my senior year of college and was kicked out of the faculty lounge for looking too much like a high school student. Just think what this girl could have done had she been born a male and think about how far a woman could go if they excelled in something that their minds and bodies were meant for.

@@uraswami8077 I went in the army in 1974 with a simular time in practice but only had one remarkable sprint in the 100m in less than 10s racing the top sprinter in a relay in CIF. I realized it's not age that's slows you down because at 48 I was just as fast, it's inflammation that causes less range of motion. The best way to keep it is by eating the right foods, staying loose and getting enough rest. Kimchi is fermented for 2-3 weeks and has properties that make good bacteria to not only eliminates inflammation but can increase longevity just as fermented wheat germ extract can fight cancer. There is also a verse Ex 30:23 that gives a formula that was used 2k years ago to increase age 2-3 times. Some scholars say calamus was actual cannabis. Drugs is the worst thing you can take including steroids for any long term affect.

i think athletics burnout in general can cause this. i was a sub 2 minute 800 runner as a sophomore, but I never really trained for the event. Track was just something I did to prepare for football and basketball. My track career was off and on for the rest of my time in HS. I probably could've at least got a little scholarship money for a small college if I had focused on track a bit more.

Wait, we have it on good sources, (Kooaide soarkers of Uganda), that she soaks her shoes/laces for 48 hours in PUMA cat piss, rinses them in German 25% beer and THEN, and this is the killer,,,laces up using the kutuso method, aka...up, across, thru the middle, 13* down thread and then the triple loop to the tie down. That is the reason she is able to use the 17 -degree right foot drift and 4- degree left foot roll over which gives her the thrush.

I've been watching Abby race for years. She had an amazing college career and her performance at worlds was fantastic! I wonder if you can do a video on runners first year as a pro? From what I've noticed for most runners the first year is a very tough transition year when turning pro if you dont have a good support system/staff/family protecting & supporting you vs exploiting you. 2023 is her first full year as a pro. As a big track fan I always watch closer during the first year as a pro to see how they make it through the transition. She seems to have a great family supporting her so I expect a few rough patches at first then she comes out great. Even Mu had a few rough patches transitioning last year before things smoothed out.

When you run fast enough it's turns into miniature flying, falling gracefully. The trick to flying is to throw yourself at the ground and miss! You go girl! Like in horse racing, when you see a runner come from the back of the pack and just start to pull and pull and it gives you goose bumps when they just keep accelerating and pulling past each other competitor like they were standing still. Just AWESOME! Nascar has the same feel when a racer comes from the back of the pack and just hits those lines perfect and runs a perfect lap. Everyone loves it when an underdog wins... except the other losers to the race. Tortoise and the Hare!

@CVN65 Your statement sounds very familiar. Sounds exactly like what black parents say when their children face real discrimination. Last time I checked sprinting in track and field if you line up and your faster than your opponents, you will get the opportunities especially as a Caucasian. Example Abby signed a contract much larger than more accomplished black athletes. I would like for you to try and place yourself in the shoes of other people when you make a statement like you did

@@calc1657 People of color are not self-opting out of anything, they are fighting to be aloud to compete. Also when you say society, let's be very clear you have never heard a crowd of black people yelling racist slurs at white children competing in a sporting event. There's thousands of video evidence of adult white people doing this to black children. Don't forget the behind the scenes racism that is to prevent them from being able to compete.

yes, and exactly that part regarding her step speed smells like doping. I've seen such step on Yordanka Donkova, Ginka Zagortcheva (hurdles but it doesn't matter) from what I can recall, that was all doping in the 'good ole days' of dope. I remind everyone, if it's not on the list, it's not officially a dope...until it gets on the list. all the stuff on the list, there was a time when it still wasn't on the list. labs are one step ahead

Yes, I think her lower and more linear arm swing matches up to her lower knee height at top of her leg and cycle. This seems to allow her to cycle her strides a bit faster than others. She may well be revolutionizing how we should teach sprinting

There's just something about her run...I am too old to sprint professionally but, the way she runs, I feel like it resonates with me. For now I am still trying to undo the imbalances in my body. EDIT: Her stride frequency is almost the same as mine. That's why it resonates with me. I just don't have the strength, endurance, balance, etc. to put the force down and increase my stride length. One of these days I will go join a sprinting team and run in the old mans league. Either that or have children and learn with them lol.
