The 107 age is an over estimate. She is maybe mid 80's. I live in the same region as her and before 1940's, there is not much written records about birth of tribal people in the northern tribal region.

Been close to that village.never had the incline to go get a tattoo there. But to each his/her own. Chance of infection? Hmm you probably would have known within a few hrs, except in cases of viral infection (hepB, HIV), but you would have known by now. But i have no idea how they clean needles in between. Maybe use a new spike everytime, dont know about the changing of ink either. Anyway, you are fine now

Why would you get something like that? No matter who the artist is… it just looks ugly, like some dirt on your ankle. And the whole procedure does not look really hygienic. Consider yourself lucky.

Just for the experience. Even if it looks ugly, she can see it and remember the time she did this. Tattoos are not always to look cool. They are many times meaningful, they don't need to be pretty. You don't even know how much experience that lady has. There must be a cleaning process or the needle might even be changed for every person. She should be lucky that she got to meet this wonderful woman preserving the old form of tattoos.
