when Conspiracy 2 came out, a pigeon walked into our store while we were drafting and just started calmly walking around looking at the shelves we had to stop the draft because all the people that were working there were drafting, and one of them had to shoo the pigeon out several hours later, when we were leaving, we saw presumably the same pigeon sitting outside on a promotional display looking depressed he was so depressed one of my friends went over and poked him and he didn't even flinch poor pigeon just wanted to draft Conspiracy ...I think about him a lot

Last night at FNM the shop owner grabbed a pack of magic origins and said what are my chances of getting baby Jace(Flip Jace) and a foil. So I kid you not he opened it up and got a foil land the red blue one, and the Jace and we all got free packs

So,. yeah I'm in NY. I was at this place where we played and some big namers came around when they were in town. (I was taught dreamblade by Sam Black) And we would sometimes sit by the vintage players who carried bags with them with binders full of things you couldn't imagine. Anyway, the blackout hit in 2001, big room, old building goes pitch black (we thought it mightve been another terrorist thing at the time) and some guy runs over and grabs one the vintage players' bags and bolts. As far as I know they never caught him. It was easily a few hundred grand worth of cards, multiple P9 playsets, probably 50 pages of dual lands. Etc. Shit got real that day..

I got one for you. Some 15-year-old kid during a Worldwake FNM Draft, no lie, pulls both a Jace and a Foil Jace from the same pack. Then proceeds to stand up in the middle of the draft, sleeves both of the cards and then leaves the store. He got a temporary suspension for disrupting the flow of a sanctioned game. Is it screwed up that he'd have to pass a Jace? Yes, but rules are rules. You agreed to them before you cracked the packs. The best part is, everyone at the table was in agreement that if he just called the judge/owner he could've just bought a new pack and played with it instead. Technically against the rules, but we were a small store and more of a close community. Instead, he had to be super immature, and storm out of the store so he didn't have to deal with the drama... which is all he created.

This is why my store has a rebuy option for a max of 1 pack per draft. If you get some money pack you can re-buy a new one and keep it.

You can drop at any point with cards you own if you open the booster and want to drop you can, you own the cards. Just walking out rather than announcing you're dropping is a dick move but his actions were all legal, the suspension doesn't really have any legs to stand on. You do not have to pass your booster if you don't wish, it's just annoying to the rest of the table who like you said agreed to the rules before they joined the draft.

My stores rules were, you have to complete the drafting process. You can't drop in the middle of the draft especially if you've already opened pack 2 or 3. Which in this case was the second pack. Stores also have the right to suspend/ban anyone they'd like. He was banned more on the premise of creating a huge deal of drama. Screaming and Freaking out at the table, revealing the cards that he opened. Then stood up, sleeved them and left the store in a hurry without even announcing that he dropped.

i went to my LGS and it was my first time.... never played magic before in public.... walked in... SILENCE.... just nothing.....go buy a card i need... been in there like 5 -10 maybe... i swear it was like i was some animal being watched by a bunch of safari people..... just nothing, very , very awkward. bought my cards and everything..... didnt get a game in .... left after about 20 mins... never going back ,and probly never gonna try and play again....oh did i mention i dont have a play group so this was like gonna be a chance to play and got like total cold shoulder...even saw the guy who told me about the place and the FNM and he didnt even say hi....yeah...bad
