Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

The hoverpads are off when you aren't in a seat and on when you are, but if the creation toggles them off in-seat they're on out of seat. Basically it swaps which pads are on which messes up the hovercarrier.

Actually no the hover pads are glitched and they don’t turn off it’s probably something with the glitch

The hoverpads turn off when you get out of the vehicle. That's why it destabilizes:) More great content:) Have a great day holmes! The Aquamechamander was a pre update build, thus the suspension is non functioning:/ It used to run on land just fine.

That whale is insaaaaanely impressive. The ripple sequence isn't quite spot-on, but VERY close, and the form factor is honestly ideal for the game world scale. The third segment needs a little tweak, but otherwise absolutely AMAZING work!

F1 cars actually do have a boost button now. It’s not rockets and there are two different types of boost. One being KERS which is either a (most popular) battery stored regenerative breaking system or with the use of a flywheel. They both give about 85 bhp for a short time for passing in special zones. Also there is a DRS (drag reduction system) used for passing as well. In certain zones the driver can implement the DRS, thereby reducing the drag and giving a sort of boost of speed. The consequence is a lowered downforce resulting in less grip in corners.

wait a sec, wouldn't the flywheel be way more weight/power efficient? I'm assuming it's being used most every lap on that top-of-the-head assessment: charging batteries is actually super inefficient and results in a LOT of waste heat with exponentially less efficient and more heat the faster you do it, the primary problem with a flywheel is a constant energy loss but inputting/outputting energy from the system is almost free...the only big issue I can think of for a flywheel in a racecar is whether or not it's worth the weight in the first place, and batteries would be way worse for that. ...of course, the simplest and most likely answer is that it's not so much an engineering choice as a publicity choice...funnily enough shifting the aerodynamics of a car to match the situation sounds pretty useful even for driving around town, though with consumer cars maintenance of any mechanism you include is always gonna be a serious issue even if it's something as simple as a single shifting panel.

THE REASON WHEN HELICARRIER STOPS FLOATING ON WATER IS THAT IF HOVERPADS ARE OFF AND YOU GET OUT, THEY GO ON, AND IF THEY ARE ON IN THE SEAT, THEY GO OFF! I play Trailmakers and when I saw that, it sparked something I learned in game.
