Written by Jarreau himself with Jay Graydon and Robbie Buchanan, it's from the album "High Crime" (1984) and rewarded him a Grammy Awards for "Best Male R&B Vocal Performance".

Federico spacca come al solito, Nicolas (visto quest'estate in tour con Mclaughlin...) è un batterista impressionante, voce splendida, chitarra e tastiere di gran lusso. Secondo me, Al Jarreau sarebbe contento di questo arrangiamento. Maurizio riesce spesso a rispettare l’originale con arrangiamenti non troppo estremi ma con la sensibilità che pochi hanno. Ovviamente musicisti fantastici e molto bello l’adattamento del basso rispetto al Synt originale. Apprezzo veramente la tua musicalità.

The synth bass in the Al Jarreau version is very present and defined. While Federico is one of my favorite bass players, I would have liked the mix on this track to have had the bass louder and more defined, thereby showcasing Federico's exceptional technique....and I am listening through a Yamaha board and Mackie studio monitors.
