@@ThomasAtzinger Both by the sound and by the fact that the video includes it, they do have mics set up so that they are recording the sound of the whole group of drums, not a singular set. They have condensers set at an overhead position such that it captures the whole group of drums. Ofc, they also have close mics on at least one set of drums, to beef up the sound a bit. But the overhead condensers (I can see 4 of them spread across the whole group of drummers) are the bulk of the sound you hear.

Lol, no.He is a very good bass player, but dont put him there. He first needs to constantly come up with albums and compositionsso good that will be recognized as "standards" for bass guitar players(and not only if possible) and influence generations. After that play them live at the largest festivals . Or, come up with a unique touch , or a unique technique. As much as I respect Charles and love what he is doing, and get inspired by him from time to time, all of this was done by wooten and Abraham Laboriel on bass, some of it by Stanley Jordan on guitar , Marcus Miller etc.. There are bass players in the world with insane musical awareness. They can like hear a 13/16 groove full of non-functional harmony, and play it at first hearing without preparation, and get the harmony aswell. Not only that, but they can also improvise with flow on the spot on top of it. There is still a long road until he should be considered one of the best players of all time....bruh..so long

Huge growth. I remember him being stuck at under 1 mil for a long time and wondering why now it’s surpassed that quickly

Hey, Charles! You rule, man! I’m brazilian! I’m really proud that the music community in Brazil was able to realize your talent! I’m following your work since the your debut in the KZbin. In my (sincerely) opinion you’re the greatest bass player of the actual times! You’re a inspiration! I’ve never see someone so complete in all techniques as you are. You’re great! I’m really proud about that audition! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
