That flathead V-12 is a truly great engine. I remember putting bronze lifters in one back in the 90s so that it could run unleaded gas. Great sound esp with straight pipes.

Bronze lifters for unleaded gas? You are completely full of shit.

What a superb sound !! These engines were used by Allard and Atalanta back in the late 1930s. 👍👍

My grandfather’s car. A Lincoln Zephyr that was in a “garage” waiting for the scrap’s final day,in a small farm of my family, unfortunatly. I was very curious about the sound of this powefull engine at the time.1carburator for 12 cilinders!! Thank you very much for posting!!!

I have never heard a Lincoln V12 run until now. Seems like if you got the lifters adjusted correctly, they were smooth and quiet- very nice sound. Loved the V12 in the motorcycle.

Boss Hoss ain't got nothing on that bike! I've always wanted to build a 32 Ford coupe with the V12.

The engine at about 0:40 had a Corvair air cleaner on it.

Good eye! It is a Corvair 140 hp, to be exact.

Read they were notorious for sludge build up and poor coolant flow with a lot of them failing after less than 30k miles. They replaced it in 1941 with a V8 truck engine “The invincible 8.

Nice video, but I always get disappointed b/c you expect ripping v12 super car noises but it sounds like any other engine. Has anyone put some crazy banana pipes on one of these? Seems like a sick rat rod platform
