Good for you, one very wet night I was a passenger of a woman who always drove too fast, I told her to slow down, the water on the road was dangerous. I was ignored and she aquaplaned. We were ok, we are not taught properly about these things before we pass the test

I had to do a trip in deep water last night (in a valley so the road was a river for 4 miles) I sailed past THREE suvs in my tiny little hatchback. And made it back the other way. People are just plough in thinking their car is a damn oil tanker.😂

Reason the taxi driver got through in the Toyota was he was using his hybrid motor but when he tries to turn the engine on he may get a nasty shock unless he leaves it sat off for a few hours to dry lol

You'd struggle to get up out the other side without the engine kicking in tbh, the bigger problem with any car going into water that deep is all the other things it will ruin like parking sensors and adaptive cruise, ABS etc etc.

old kenilworth castle ford, steam through my garden runs into this river/ steam about mile down. castle ford dose flood lot less these days since they installed bigger pipes under road many years ago , but soon the grids get blocked that it , over the road it goes. remember when younger we did not like the improvements not seen a flood in ages so we went up river / steam and chucked all sorts in and as expected it to had few ft water over the road. biggest danger to that ford is grid under the foot path if you get swept under the path you going to be in bit trouble

This is why toyota stays on top of car companie there reliability and relatively affordable price is unmatched. All car brands last majority 10 year but the toyota will still be on the road after 25 year latter even when there original factory part. That's really a value for the money car

That is not the same. Old cars died from water beacuse of the ignition electronics soaked. The repair was just let it dry. Nowadays cars' electronics are waterproof. If they stop under water it is because their engine sucked up water into the cylinders. Repair of a dived engine is more than costly.

Many ICE cars also used properly IP rated connectors on their electrical looms, which is why most people not getting across are suffering from water ingestion into the engine. You lot are so weird

@@anthonypert574 Not a lot of thinking was involved in that reply. A ICE car can suffer from quality control issues, same as an EV car. Doesn’t change that they are designed to operate in certain conditions. ICE and EV cars can tolerate a lot of submersion, they are designed for it, but an ICE can ingest water. This issue doesn’t exist with EV’s should they have passed quality control that holds them to a design standard.
