This is why I now prefer scissor based multitool like Roxon's KS, KS2 or M3 or True's Dual Cutter. I get a good knife and also a good full-size pair of scissors. I used to carry a pocket knife and a separate pair of folding scissors but scissor-based multitools are now my favorite. I'm currently carrying a Roxon KS because I find I very rarely use screwdrivers or can openers but almost always need a knife or pair of scissors.

I EDC a UK legal pocket knife but have these scissors in my tool box. They are amazing. I don't use them as much as a knife but I'm always surprised at how well they cut when I do.

Exactly what is the brand and model number of these scissors? You don't really tell us what it is. You mention Wiss Scissors, but there is nothing like yours on Ebay or Amazon.

Yeah, I don't see a direct link in the description for these scissors.

had a similar challenge last month and wanted to cut some thick leather and all my Scissors including Fiskars struggling to cut because they are not designed for the job so I went out a bought a similar Scissors made for electricians and it is so easy to cut everything. However the Fishers are for paper and fabric cutting in general lighter duty and they are excellent and they have lifetime warranty. the electricians Scissors don't cut paper very clean especially longer cuts. I love my power electricians Scissors

Awesome. Yeah I think the Fiskars would be great for fabric if you find the comfortable. They are definitely not bad, just not really what I wanted for the amount they cost here. By the way, worth looking into the leather industry. I used to use it for projects until I learned what they do to animals. You can learn about it by searching "what's wrong with leather".

I don't buy leather, it was an old boot someone was throwing away :) what we do to animals is sick , leather, meat, dairy etc... they will never forgive us for what we been doing to them.

Cool. Always awesome to meet a fellow vegan. :) Yes I also don't mind using it if it's some random old piece. Recently I got a sewing machine so I've been really liking fabrics for a lot of the stuff I'm' making.

Electrician's scissors are great, once you discover them you can't go back to any other kind of scissors. The one I got has a really uncomfortable handle, yet it cuts cables, aluminum and copper sheet and leather like butter. I wish it could cut my steel guitar strings as well.
@nitsan5 жыл бұрын
Yeah good point. I currently don't have a portable hard wire cutter. Well there's my 8" Knipex which will cut 6mm steel bolts, which is compact but not a daily carry tool unless you have a car, which I don't. Luckily when I'm out I have so far not needed a wire cutter. In an emergency my knipex Plier wrench can break a wire by bending it back and forth I guess. Not a clean cut but better than nothing.

Do you have a video on how you made your sweet, light and super comfortable sheaths for your tools? Cheers in advance mate!
@nitsan5 жыл бұрын
I think I explained quickly in an old video but I don't remember which one. It's just bending some 1.5mm thick steel with pliers and then hand sewing with some really thick fabric or strap. But I'm releasing a Kickstarter soon where I'm selling probably the world's best tool pouches. and wallets too. The ones in this video are just some very early designs. Press the notification icon next to the subscribe button if you'd like to know when they are released. It's in a few weeks. :)

Mine C.K scissors say made in Austria. I purchased them from FX tools so I guess they're genuine. I think these are generic scissors made in China. The suppliers print pretty much anything the bulk purchaser wants printed on them. For example PEX pipe is made in India yet the production factory print either USA or UK on the pipe itself. Similar thing with Lee cooper jeans.

@nitsan3 жыл бұрын
i'm not sure exactly which shit you mean. I have pouches (see my other vids) so I can carry a fair bit. I most often carry a swiss army knife, pepper spray, knipex pliers and other stuff if needed like a torch and other small bits. i've tested two weiss and found their steel to be really soft. they dulled very quickly compared to C.K and fiskars. I have a video about it. But thanks anyways.
