How did you squeeze a 27t into an EXB with the 50t spur? I have a 23t in mine on a 1250 motor and the set screws are nearly against the hole at the top.

I extended the holes a little bit on the mount, to get the motor moved back a few mm

I put a 21t and Spektrum 1250 kv and on 3s its a beast. Its so smooth running though. Just a Great RC! Nice Speed runs, Happy New Year to you!

I have a Slash and am trying something similar - i.e build an rc that can top 100mph (or as close to as possible) off road, so its great to see this video 👍 Well done on going over 60mph. Clearly gearing and having a good enough power unit (esc/motor/lipo) is whats needed but also the type of surface and the wind also comes into play as you rightly pointed out. I'm guessing shortly cut grass in the height of summer may give a different speed reading than say wet, slightly muddy and long grass in the winter...I also think type of bodyshell will also have an effect after all, thats why the speed run guys use such smooth and aero efficient shells. I did a couple of comparisons on my 2wd Slash and the stock body shell reduced the speed by 1mph (3s lipo gave me 44mph without the shell and 45mph with it.) I did the same test with 2s and it was the same - i.e 1mph deficit with body on. And it makes sense as the stock Traxxas Slash shell is designed to act like a parachute and 'hang' in the air....not really what one wants from a machine when chasing speed. Maybe, if you're brave enough lol, try without the shell to see how much deficit the body shell is giving? Also, are you able to have a play with tyres? Mine balloon like crazy as they're not designed for high speed so I'm sure theres an additional loss there too....either way awesome video showing just how powerful your setup and this beast of an RC truck is!! 👏👏👏👌👍😈😎🙏

100mph will be hard on grass... but in the summer when the ground is hard will be your best bet! This time of year when it’s wet and cold is no good for off road speed runs

Damn Phil she was a moving right along man. Wanna get me an EXB, still haven’t decided what basher I wanna get. Been thinking about the XMAXX but them EXB’s are just sweet looking. Inner fenders you out on there saves a lot of time after the session. Seems like a have to must.

Wow! 100+ kph on the grass is no joke! Such a beast You could push further with customised front wings on and lowered front suspension. Stiffened rear shocks and raised rear.

Yes, Aero is going to be a factor now. No point going 8s or gearing up without addressing the lift at the front
