We have left Vietnam and we are now in the Philippines! It's our first time here and we didn't know what to expect. We are so glad we filmed our first impressions of Manila because we had the most craziest first day in the Philippines! From trying to figure out how to get around, eating some pig face, meeting so many friendly Filipinos and getting a tattoo by a stranger 😳 Yep, this is definitely an epic start to our adventures in the Philippines!

Jolibee was the first time I got fried chicken served with gravy. That was a match made in heaven. I hope you guys got to visit the Mall of Asia, they have a great food court there and the bakeries inside that place was pretty darn good.

Except that malls in the Philippines are packed on weekends, especially Sundays. It has taken the place of public parks where families gather (for picnics), mainly to escape the heat. Go on weekdays for a more leisurely stroll.

Try to visit BGC the modern part of Manila. You can also go to Poblacion Makati if you wanted to experience the night life. Try to visit Intramuros -the only walled city in all of South East Asia for a bit of history. Intramuros is the old part of Manila with lots of colonial buildings. Not far from it is Binondo which is the oldest china town in the world. Another interesting place to visit is the Korea town in Malate, Manila

@Sneak Onhead yes it's true and it's beyond our control but we can suggest interesting places tho. Let's just give good and positive reasons why the Philippines is a must visit. There are alot of vloggers that feature street porns and poverty porns and believe me they're not doing it for the people nor for our country's benefit but for themselves to increase the number of views because those things are controversial. The Philippines is way better than that and I like the whole western world to see and know that, for they always viewed the Philippines as a country of poor people which is not true because most of us are middle class citizens.

I'm a Filipino and I've seen this over and over with that trike price you should've used grab instead. So basically trike and taxi is prone to fare scams, the moment they sense that you don't have the idea of fares they'll over charge you. better use jeepney, bus, grab, or any online service with fixed fare to destination. I'm not saying that all trike and taxi are scammers, thing is there are few bad apples that will take advantage of the situation. So sorry about that guys, that was so embarrassing.

You guys should've just walk a little bit further and took the underpass (nice art and murals) towards Ayala and Greenbelt park. They're very unique cos they are like oasis/greenery in the middle of the city. Greenbelt mall is an amazing mall with lots of restaurants and shops. Also in Makati, visit "Aling Sosing" carinderia (Filipino foods visited by Anthony Bourdain and Mark Wien's). While in Makati, have a beer or cocktails in I'm hotel to view Manila's Skyline at night. BGC is a must see in Manila. Its an ultra modern city with high rise buildings and street art. High street, Forbes town, Uptown mall, and SM Acura (rooftop) are spots to visit here. Also, the Filipino -American cemetery in the heart of BGC is so huge and peaceful ( similar to Normandy and Washington). Binondo (oldest Chinatown in the world) with amazing dumplings, BAO 's and noodle shops . Old town historic Intramuros, Cathedrals, Fort Santiago, and Luneta park are walking distance from each other. Manila is a megacity divided into 16 districts . FYI, there is a mall culture in the Philippines that is not found anywhere else.

We just came from Vietnam where there was a real language barrier so yes, Manila is awesome because there's English everywhere! People are super friendly and helpful too. We'll show you more in our upcoming videos :)

Makati enforces strictest traffic rules so going there is quite a challenge. It would sometimes means you have to walk from point A to point B.
