Driving a car at another person is by law attempted murder because motorized vehicles are considered to be weapons when driven like this. Some 20 odd years ago I had been punched, kicked, headbutted, glassed & stabbed by my now ex-wife when I lived in England and every time I defended myself by trying to restrain her, I was the one who got taken into custody. Released at 3am and told not to go near my home under risk of arrest & charges. The police's laughable excuse was that they had to separate us and it would be me as they can't be seen to release a female from custody at inhospitable hours in case something 'bad' happens to her. So it's ok to release a man at that time in the morning, tell him he can't go home, give him no advice or help as to where he can or what he should do, but it's okay, nothing 'bad' is likely to happen to a guy at 3 in the morning now, is it??? So I spent the rest of the night on a park bench in mid-February without a jacket. So when I don't exactly buzz with either sympathy or empathy for women who go on about equal rights and how life isn't fair for them, perhaps if they knew how things where on the other foot, maybe they wouldn't be so quick to moan. Because they get away with shit like this.

Still, I wish they'd just run for their lives. The saddest part is many of them will continue to suffer instead of filing a complaint, getting a restraining order etc. Just like many female victims of abuse don't.
