0:55 finally a responsible lorry driver. Usually the lorrys speed past you at like 10000000 mph and then they over take right infront of the horse almost smacking it in the head. Big respects for the guy who drove that lorry

That happened to me once but with a bus, I was almost completely separated from the rest of the ride by this double decker bus and had to go onto the path/sidewalk so we didn't get squished 😬

(i know this was ages ago but still) I've only met responsible lorries in my whole riding life, some even stop if they're coming the other way, crazy how different people are when it comes to road safety in different places, would think company lorries wouldnt be tits as it'll put a bad name on them🤷♂️

Rearing is a real problem that needs addressing before someone gets seriously hurt. I don’t know the history of this horse but would ask, has it ever been raced?
@DR079213 жыл бұрын
A racehorse wants to get its head out in front so it can gallop. You were preventing this by having control off the head and neck… well done and the horse was retaliating, possibly because it didn’t understand. I would certainly be avoiding these sorts of gallops until you are both rewarded with no more rearing. When you do feel the horses back tense, before it has time to rear, disengage its hind end by moving the hind quarters to the left or right.

You need to work on the principle of bend on the ground on the round corral at home. She is the habit of rearing because #1 she has a U neck and #2 was not taught the the principle of bend before you went out. #3 you are whipping and pulling back at the same tiime. When you want to stop use one rein and keep her bent until the feet stop.

Just stop being horrible maddie is an incredible rider who has learnt so much so quickly. That's incredible. She's an amazing rider so please if Royal is having a bad day so what. @lizziefequine22954 жыл бұрын
Equine Ellie why are you even wasting your time with these comments? you know nothing about maddie or her horse or how much experience they have. i’ve haven’t ridden with maddie that much but i know that she has a lot of experience. and let’s be real if she didn’t, she would have fallen off every time royal reared. so take you and your nasty comments away and think before you comment something about someone you don’t know
