Hey Danny- I love that track ! So challenging. I'm not sure I have seen a racer so consistent on his/her entry and exit lines. A pleasure to watch. Good Luck on your season- same to Chuck as well. You are both fun to watch.

X3 Racer. Barber is one of my favorite tracks. So busy, so technical, always on the edge of slip. And thank you gor the very kind words

A very exciting and unpredictable race. Although, at 17:30 I definitely felt like you had just been gifted the race. At 22:40, that was the last nail in the coffin. Well done by all! The guys at the front of SM race hard, but they race clean! Serious question; The Trackpedia site doesn’t show the turn numbers, but on the LONG left hander, has anyone EVER successfully passed on the outside? Seems like a wasted move!

Yup Mike , great observations. At 17:30 Charles Mactutus loses 3rd gear and that seals the deal for him, now its just Connor Zilisch and myself to battle on. At22:40 Connor goes a little wide in the museum turn, which is very easy to do. Remember this is his first time at the track and I have at least 10 visits over the years, so he was very much up on the wheel. And not sure which corner you are referring to as there are no long left handers, there is one long right hander which is T14/T15 that leads into the last left hander T16 leading on to the start finish straight.

Danny, maybe ‘LONG’ was an exaggeration, but take a look at the 4:35 mark. You are already on the inside, and finish the pass in the corner. There are several other places in the video where one of your competitors tries to go around you on the right leading into that corner. It seems like a wasted effort, although maybe they just didn’t want to lose their momentum.

@@mikespencer9913 OK, now I know what you are looking at. That is turn 5 (0r T6 on some maps). Also known as the hairpin. Inside line is the fastest, but the outside line give you the inside line for the next turn leading into the Museum turn, and depending on how much speed you can run around the outside, and how much torque and acceleration you can have, yes the outside line in T5 can play into a winning pass. In fact Chuck Mactutus did it several times in Race 1 of the same weekend but I dont remember Connor making it work in Race 2 but I think Chucks car had a bit more low down grunt that Connor's car.
