For the people genuinely confused and not just pretending to not understand: yes, it was the trans joke. That joke clearly implies trans women are men. As for the timing, my guess is she was waiting to see if the joke turns around somehow but he just moved on so she was like "yup, transphobic, not just edgy". I was wondering for a while what his stance was on this topic but as long as he didn't mock us I didn't care. But this joke, while not justifying a physical assault, does show us where he stands. I watched halfway through so if it turns around at the end I wouldn't know. Couldn't put myself through another 3 minutes of being invalidated and mocked.
