Love people who say LSU is “one and done”. LSU recruits Top 5 classes like nobody’s business. Also in recent history (since 2000), LSU has 3 NCs. The only team that has more in that time span is Alabama with 5. That’s more than Ohio St, Florida, Florida St, Clemson, Georgia, etc.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't think LSU will be as explosive this year without Burrow, but we do have the blueprint and I think we will be more dynamic passing going forward than we used to be...but I think we can be a lot more balanced now with a resurgence of the running game and utilizing those playmakers we have there. I just hope we continue to do a good job building and getting depth in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

One thing that gives me a lot of confidence in Jorge Munoz is that one of his responsibilities was making schemes to react to different blitz packages. Yea I was surprised that Philips and Queen left, but I think we will be able to fill those spots out pretty well. These corners will be young but they will show up when they need to. Outside linebacker definitely will be the most interesting to see what we will do, personally I like the idea of having brooks and stevens across from each other. I expected all of the offensive skill positions to go but it hurts to lose 4 offensive linemen. I think we can put out a respectable front but if they get injured we may run into some problems. Overall, we lost a lot but we have the skill to replace it all. Time for the young guys to step up!

Another great video murph. That outside linebacker spot is a glaring hole right now bro. I think a kid like Jarrel Cherry has to step up. He was a smaller defensive end at about 260 but he can afford to cut weight and get a bit more nimble and move to outside backer. I also hear rumblings of Justin Thomas coming back to the team. He really flashed at times in passing situations so if they can keep him and continue to develop him he's a body to throw in. Andre Anthony and Ray Thorton have no choice to step up finally. Also a kid like Travez Moore with one year of eligibility left needs to show something. He has prototypical size but it's time he shows something. I dont see a right away impact outside backer coming in this freshmen class but I like the down the line potential of phillip webb. Like u said Marcel brooks is going to have to bulk up. I love the secondary. I agree Kary Vincent is best fitted at a safety spot. If anything I belive he can be similar to Richard leconte. Very fast kid who may have some trouble tackling but you hope he isn't called on alot to do that alot. Jay Ward, Raydarius Jones, Elias Rick's and even the latest commit at corner Mclothern can give us some good play at the opposite corner. Its going to be interesting bro. Appreciate the coverage and insight. Top Billing 2 ya!!

Watch the end of the last spring game at OSU Joe tosses a perfect 60 yard bomb to DMC on the final play and Joe running off the field with Bosa Hey it all worked out for Joe!, Back to next year Brennan will be fine tall lean and he can move in the pocket kid can throw and he played a lot as a freshman He will kill it with this group of receivers and backs take it to the bank Hines will ball he played well as a frosh was hurt last year and they were set and don’t forget Ed Ingram at guard Thomas and Deculus Dare and Cameron they will be good Defense you are spot on with the front and they have some nice freshmen coming in Again you are the man with Stevens inside and Brooks on the outside Stingley and Ricks will ball with Vincent Hampton Flott Jones Harris keep it coming they are reloading Thanks again enjoyed your stuff I wanted to tell you to quit giving away how to play that offense but at the end of the day, Burrow was on fire!!! I wouldn’t be surprised to see LSU go back to a 4-3 or even 4-2-5 to take advantage of where they have the most depth.

Your knowledge on personnel for all these teams is staggering. Great insight and commentary. What ever happened to the subscription based videos you offered? I want the Top Billin legendary hijinx and I’ll pay for it!

Great breakdown! The great part about this season was the amount of guys you discussed got a good bit of playing time,especially the oline and the front 7 on defense. I think the key parts will come down to the linebacker spot, if they shift to a 4-3, and can Myles Breen an handle the qb position. BTW I feel the same about Jacoby, he's way too big to be playing safety and his coverage isn't great.

Clyde Edwards Helaire is so underrated. Losing him MIGHT be the biggest loss for LSU. He will be a very good pro, IMO.

I like that Stevens at inside backer and Vincent at safety idea!!!

Antoine Sampah is the recruit im most excited about. Looks like the most college ready player of the bunch, 6'2" ILB at 220 with great agility. He reminds me of a kendell beckwith with his length and versatility in terms of a middle linebacker. He has balled out this last season in high school, dude will get some playing time next year if he can bulk up over the offseason

I love the idea of Stevens moving to LB. I'd also like to see him get #18 as well. And I watched to the end :-)

I think they’ll make Jacoby Stevens an outside linebacker/safety hybrid but that inside linebacker is a genius idea Murph
@youngstan24885 жыл бұрын
I like the idea of Stevens at LB because that's probably where LSU is gonna hurt from the early departures most(other than QB obviously) and having someone already familiar with the defense would help big time. Just gotta see who the new DC is.

I think you are RIGHT ON target with Jacoby Stevens. Love the channel, BTW.....

Jaray Jenkins, 6'4" sophomore next year is gonna be a beast and get a ton of catches while most of the attention is on Chase and Marshall.

You nailed it, I was thinking the same about everything especially with Stevens, Todd and Mo can take over the safety spot, Todd was the starter originally until he got hurt then they moved Stevens back to safety

I'm with you my friend, the pantry's not nearly as bare as a lot of people would have you think. Although you hit the nail on the head with the OLB positions, but I think you're on to something there with your suggestions.... at least 50% in my opinion too. I was laughing my butt off the other day, it was exactly as you described it....... TDA already had LSU 6ft. under, and that was before the announcement of Aranda's departure for Baylor! I think the dude was actually spazzing in his pants! I would call that wishful thinking for Bama..... It's way too early to write LSU's obituary for 2020 just yet. By the way, I love your shows! Real quality programming!

Great Content bro! You know your shit. What do you think about Jacoby Stevens in a role like #11 for Clemson?
@TopBillinSports5 жыл бұрын
Can’t just make up roles. Isaiah Simmons plays a Nickel Sam in an even-front Scheme. Stevens would play that in that defense, for sure:

I can agree that Jacoby Stevens can definitely be an inside lb especially with the instinct he has from playing in the secondary and also the speed and power of a great linebacker. It can also help if they stay in a 3-4, but a 4-3 defense can be great with the talent up front on the line. Keep up the good work.

Racey is going to blow up next season... He ran a sub-4.4 at the LSU camp his senior year... He has only gotten bigger and stronger.

Jacoby Stevens! If they didn’t know, they going to learn today.

Agree with you across the board, Murf. Love the idea of bringing Stevens down into the LB position with Kary Vincent at safety. I think the team will go as far as Myles Brennan can take them. He has the physical tools. If he can get the mental game down he won't be Burrow but he'll be damn good. Has possibly a better (stronger) arm than Burrow and a quick release. Accuracy maybe not quite as good. Getting a lot of reps in spring practice will be huge for him. Also, I can't wait to see Arik Gilbert. This guy is a matchup nightmare. A lot of people see the departures and automatically assume it will be a down year. Well every year is a down year compared to the one we just had. I think some folks will be surprised.

Top Bill you have to look at the tape on their DT Tyler Shelvin. Best runstopper in the nation PERIOD. Either you have a tackle that gets through the line or one that doesn't let you through it...

Dude I cover this team for a living!! Why would I need to look at “tape” on someone I’ve done content on? I even talked about him in this content you clearly haven’t watched on this channel you clearly never heard of until you commented on this video...
